I must admit I can't believe more players aren't annoyed with the inability to make a simple backup of a save game.

I don't think any of the reviewers covered it either.

Reviewers don't understand the big deal of not being able to backup saves, because their gaming turnover is so high and they get most of the games they play for free. For the rest of us a gamesave of our progress (particularly in a game like GT5) is a pretty important thing because of the amount of time we have ploughed into it.

Besides, all of the reviews for GT5 were rushed hackjobs, they didn't even play through a quarter of the game before making their verdict!

Someone over at GTPlanet sent a tweet to Kaz Yamauchi about the game saves, but I doubt he has\will get a reply.

Thanks for the links, I just posted something up on the blog there too, I can't believe more people aren't more annoyed at this stupidity and I'll echo my earlier sentiments that I'm EXTREMELY disappointed the mods on here are failing to show any kind of support for an issue that is affecting us ALL.

You haven't been reading my posts! I've said multiple times that this is really quite annoying. I can't access my Red Bull X1 from home because it's in the garage on my work console!

But - I need to explain to you why this is so.

Call of Duty. Look at all the hacks that emerged from modifying save game data.

I've got a meeting later this week to discuss community feature requests, at the least - I will request that users are allowed to make more than one save file so that data can be backed up manually. The ideal solution for me though is cloud based save files.

Don't bank on it my friend, these things need to be scheduled, developed, QA'd and released. It's not a quick and easy process
