Remember that Porsche is the most successful brand in motorspot? Porsche has scored more than 28,000 victories, including a record of 16 constructor wins at the 24 hr of Le Mans?

.

In your opinion " Porsche is massively overrated " IMO i don't agree with any of that. IMO it would be welcomed on GT5 by gamers. ( Any new cars ) for that matter would be lol.

There are plenty of cars people would rather have before Porsche... the DLC Request thread will show you that. Also Porsche are far from the most successful in recent history, that honour goes to Audi which has won 10 of the last 13 Le Mans title's and that gives it a far, far, far higher win to participation record than Porsche, there are quite a few manufacturers that beat Porsche in the win/participation ratio... you did well to leave that out.

How many of those Porsche wins came in Porsche only competitions?! German propaganda still has it! :smileywink:

PS. Swap your 28,000 with 166 and then we will talk about Porsche in motorsport. Ferrari and McLaren have won MORE GRAND PRIX'S than Porsche has won Major Races of all disciplines combined. And as for the engines themselves, Renault has won even more Gran Prix's than Ferrari!

Not an expert but I would think re-striking a deal with EA to feature Porsches in fm (after the collaboration breakdown on that front) took a fair amount of cash since EA are not ones to happily share any content included in their games. Then there's the slight updates I'd guess they would want to incorporate to the cars for the new game rather than just copy and paste (sound familiar? not a dig though).

Once Porsches were lost I never expected them to come back to the game, the fact that they are after what... 7-ish months? Is a good effort imo, I'll gladly pay.

Not a fan of Porsche if I'm honest, much prefer a lot more cars before Porsche but then it's cars you guys may disagree on. It's everyones opinion I suppose so that's where I'm going to leave it lol.

... we had to pay for a premium version of a jaguar leman car we already have in standard... which do you thinks is more of a rip off?

plus i just read in a top gear magazine that forza is getting the new dodge viper

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/Brand-new-Top-Gear-magazine-out-now-2012-04-23

so yea... our dlc have sucked compared to those forza are recieving.

oh and before you say im a forza fanboy im not, iv been with gt all the way and never owned an xbox

its more jealousy and hope that Kaz will throw some better dlc out there for less of a rip off.

last but not least i really hope there isnt even a scent of "standard" cars in the next gt game...

GT5 needs more upto date cars IMO. And the sooner the better.

Don't hold your breath.

PD has not been prolific at releasing Premium quality cars. The initial GT 5 release only had about 200, plus whatever they subsequently released. That isn't much. Kazunori has also said that they want to continue looking ahead at making new cars Premiums and not devoting much time to upgrading Standards.

If GT6 is going to have another high car count and if PD is going to continue making Premiums at this same rate, it is very likely that some / many will still be Standards. I don't see an obvious way around this given these two aspects based on past evidence.

Sadly I think your right... but I hope your wrong...

I'd love to say GT5 looks better than Forza 4 but it doesnt... the quality of cars, background, sound effects and variation to gameplay far exceeds GT5. I really hope Kaz takes a look and gets some better ideas for GT6

Re: Porsche on Forza 4

You know all the cars FM4 has, have been carried over from the previous games aswell, so yes, they use copy & paste too, and why wouldnt they ? Just gives them more time to replicate more cars into the game.

The thing that amazes me most is this, in each FM game car sounds are different, but each time these has been recorded from actual cars, so what is the actual truth ?

And before saying "T10 dont use copy & paste"

Look at the FM4 shifting animation from the Chase Camera, and compare that to FM2 shifting animation.. It is just hilarious.
