Possible to play and collect Academy cars after closing day?

I just found out that the GT Academy 2012 is closed. Off course it isn't possible to participate to the real contest anymore, but is it not possible to play the game and collect the cars as well? Or is it still possible? Otherwise it is a shame I now also can't play the seasonal event in GT 5 as well.

Could anybody help me?

Nope you can't play it anymore i'm afraid.

 

Yes you can still play the seasonal event. All you need is a friend who already has the car needed set to share and you can use theirs.

 

I have the Leaf set to share (When i'm not using it myself) and will also have the next car set to share when it is available. Add me as a friend if you want to use it.
