Gran Turismo

I would just like say firstly that over the year Gran Turismo has most deffintalty earned to title of "most true to life game on any console"! and thats a fact!

Personally i remember playing gran turismo 1 on the PSX! at age 4-5 sat in front of the TV for hours on end playing the original Gran Turismo back in 1997-1998!

Then the release of Gran Turismo 2 came out! (by which point i was 7 years old) now with my own bedroom! playing gran turismo 2 everyday as soon as i got home from school,refusing to turn it off till at least 4-5 am! and on regular occasions not sleeping at all!! that was the only game i played-quite litteraly

and played the game so much i went through about 2-3 different playstations that was the only game i played for 4 years and played it pretty much day in,day out without fail

Then when i was about 12 year old I was given a playstation 2 for christmas and got given Gran Turismo 3-ASpec! by heck, that was the same story as above! never played anything else,up till the early hours and so on...

Then after completing Gran Turismo 3 a hand full of times with literally everything un-locked I then bought Gran Turismo 4

Again same story as above (not to mention Having Gran Turismo 4 book aswell which i bought) and all the concept versions,and including prologues too.. now this is what saddens me :'(

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Promised superb graphics,true to life actions,the most wonderfull back drops, and extremely detailed cars!..

BUT!

That was released over two years ago!!!

and like many have been pushed from pilar to post being told "oh this released day" then another date!

Why cant the game just be released??

Im pretty much on the edge of selling the PS3! this is the only reason why i payed £250 for the console! to play this game! I know people who "HAVE" also been waiting for this game to be released. and have very much given up on waiting for the game!!,sold their PS3's and gone to microsoft! and played Forza!

Now!

When can you say for  deffinate that this game is going to be released!??!!

Otherwise.. your going to be losing a die hard GT fan!

Welcome to the GT forum, oldskoolfordrob!

It is being released - soon.

So long as you are out there on Prologue now, life goes on. The forum members here have organised races, so join in and, in the meantime, make some new friends.

We don't know all of the reasons for GT taking this long, but adding in new content and new features have to be the main reasons. That's a good thing. While you might argue that you needn't wait for 3D because it isn't affordable yet, SONY has its own ideas of how to direct things.

Oh I see another one has arrived. Sorry if I sound a bit rude, but most of us are past this whole "release the game right now" thing. It's coming, and there's nothing we can do to help the wait, other than just enjoying other things in life you know. Cos seriously, once GT5 is here, life will come to a standstill for some of us. Best to get life in now while we still can!

It's being released in November. It's only ever had ONE other release date, which was March 2010, and that was a speculative date for Japan.

Keep strong, the wait is nearly over.
