Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

This challenge is way to hard for the average gamer, yes I understand that it should be a challenge and no it should not be lowered to the point that everyone can get gold with in a couple tries but this is my second day trying with a ds3 and I still cant even get bronze ( I have the driving assists off ). Yes it requires practice ive seen people do it but don't u think that if u get this far in the game that it should be easier to get I mean come on its a game it should be fun. It should not make u want to smash your controller into the wall or ground. And everyone is talking about how hard it is to do for 2 laps I agree but they are leaving out one thing, it 3 different races u have to win! At the vary least they should make it one lap.

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

This is indeed an extremely hard challenge, worthy of hours of rage. The dog got it bad.

I had some lads over to watch a game of footy one day last season (towards the end of the season) and because they arrived early I was already playing GT5. One of them remarked he didn't like GT5 because it was to slow and he prefered the sense of speed that comes with Arcade games like NFS, Split Second and that he could handle everything GT5 could throw at him.

So I challenged him.... and unleashed the Sebestian Vettel challege. I took him about 10 minutes to get through the first 2 corners, who was saying he could see them because the car was so fast! I told him he should go down a few levels and learn to drive first! :smileyvery-happy:

There is only one other game I can compare to the X2010 Challenge, and that is Wipeout.

It's harder with a pad but still requires lots of practise and patience.

I had the same problem which is why I went down the b-spec lvl 35 route for now. I suppose it was intended to be the hardest part of the game. They could nerf the challenge but acquiring the X2010 has lost all significance since it has been mass duped.

In a way I think that is extremely fixable... I mean if a save file doesn't meet the requirements then that car should be deleted. You won't solve the issue for those who do not connect to PSN often but at the end of the day, that is why they want the car... to go online with. You only have to look in the lobbies to see it is the first car alot of people go for and then complain if there are restrictions.

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

For me the X1 challenge is my everest, I'll never best it. It's harder than the recent Expert Seasonal races combined and I spent laps/hours on those to gold them. I really could do with the X1 not being part of the Trophy requirements.

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

Just managed to bronze this challenge and get the sebastion vettel version of the car.

Originally gave up on the challenge ages ago then recently a friend hit level 40 and bought one from the dealership (thanks to those lovely xp giving online events) and last night he shared it online so i could borrow it and get some practice in on the tracks, 2 hours later i had the bronze awards done and the car, beat the bronze times on each track by about 5 secs.

Used a standard PS3 controller, no assists and steering sensitivity set to level 4 for all 3 tracks

Gonna have to buy a wheel to get the silver and gold awards though but im just happy i managed to get at least one version of the car.

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

Dudes don't bother buying a DFGT for this challenge!,it will break it!.This car  will knacker your wheel, you will need to turn the feedback all the way down.I've got 2 Vettel versions(1 for b spec lvl35 and 1 for bronzing this challenge)and i never use them.It is truly a horrible car the only thing this is good for is nothing!

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

I like the X2010, it takes a bit of getting used to, but there is a knack to driving it.  I got one by reaching lvl 35 on B-Spec, after struggling with the challenge. Then not long after, I managed to get all bronze.

I only use a DS controller too, and hell will freeze over before I go and buy a wheel, just for one bloody challenge.

I have tried to cut down my times to get the silvers, but after a while, I decided that I'd rather read the telephone directory.  I didn't see why it was worth going through all that frustration and time, just to win exactly the same car, but in a different colour or trim.

Re: Red Bull X10 challenge difficulty.

I've wanted to unlock that for ages, and now it's a big challenge? Great. -.-
