Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

Gather around guys, story time:
So, after exhaustive hours beating Gold on all races, events, and licenses, I noticed the Red Bull challenge still needed to be done (only had Bronze), so I, like most frustrated and poor Gran Turismo players who cannot afford a 350€ Logitech G27, decided to back up my save and uninstall the game, re-installed the game and updated until 1.10 (that's when the glitch is un-patched), when I fired-up the game and access my GT Home, a pop-up appears straight out of no where! Called 'PRESENT_202_A' which causes the screen reload over and over. I have DLC cars in my save, will deleting them work? Are there any ways to bypass this?

Spoiler
Oh and spare the 'GLITCH IZ WRONG DUDEE!!11' because contrary to public belief, these  don't make you look like a big man nor make you look badass.

Re: Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

judging from that "present" and "202" part i'd try to get rid of that toyota 86gt car (or ticket if you haven't used it) which everybody got as gift when they updated to 2.02.

You could do the challenge with any wheel... GT5 without a wheel is only half a game in my opinion.

Go Lotus F1 for 2012!

Hmm, that seems a very good guess, I'm going to give it a try one more time and delete the car.

  • By the way a new problem came up when I reinstalled my gran turismo.
  • Instalation freezes at '30 minutes left' and I left it to install a whole night (8h)
  • When I run the game without installing the whole thing, the tracks don't load.

Re: Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

Nevermind about the Toyota, its not the issuem I really think its all regarding to the DLC's. I tried to sell the DLC cars, etc, didin't work. I guess I'm going to have to put alot of effort on the Red Bull challenge afterall if I want that Platin.Lets hope this time the game doesn't go crazy when installing.

I heard you have to get rid of all the removable dlc content, no special racing helmet/suit selected, remove all helmets and suits. I even got rid of the paint pack. Only thing I haven't gotten rid of was the 2012 toyota ft86. I'm in the process of trying it now. I wish I could get that error on mine though, my screen just reloads over and over (cause the car is in my inventory.) I created another save on my wifes profile, created on 2.05, only one car, plus the gift car which is still in car delivery. screen won't reload until I go to open car delivery and boom! screen reloads. the only other difference is I also had the track pack downloaded on my save and the wifes save doesn't have it. but I don't think that would cause too much an issue right?

Re: Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

I may be wrong, but I think any and all DLC can be deleted, then re-downloaded for free if using the same PSN ID., within a certain time period.

If that's the case, and your convinced that DLC is to blame for your error commands, try deleting all DLC.

Perhaps go gently, and delete a small, unimportant piece of your purchased DLC first, and test whether it's available to download again for free.

If so, go hard, delete all DLC, and test your theory.

Re: Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

well I just figured out my issue. don't concentrate solely on the dlc content, but more of what content became available with certain updates. I started to install each update and test one at a time and saw my save started working on update 2.03. my issue was that my home screen background wasn't available in the earlier updates as when 2.03 came out, 12 home screen colors and pictures became available. switched it back to one of the original ones and voila!

I completely forgot about this topic lol. SO you're telling me that all you have to do is change your profile layout, get rid of all DLC / update cars in my save in order to avoid the error and then you can peform the Red Bull glitch?

Re: Regarding Red Bull Challenge glitch

Not so sure about that.

2.03 sounds way past the glitch fixes.

Could be wrong,.

Also, changing your profile layout?

Not sure how you read that from JZ's post.

Perhaps I'm missing something.
