Hi Andy, it was nice to be able to race with you again
And the same to you AAAAAAAARRGH. I don't like pestering you too much. Now that you appear to be hooked into SFS it's probably the best place to meet up in the future, add to that the fact that it's much better than just me'n'you in the lobby.
You guys are excellent drivers
embarrasingly so at times
lol
I had a great battle with Jutngo in one race that I think lasted about 5 or 6 laps. Dunno how many times we swapped positons but some of the overtaking was pretty cool. I was amazed I didn't take him out, certainly had a few hairy moments!
I have saved the replay of that race and I have yet to watch it. You kept with the pack in that race and I just dropped futher and further behind. I was watching your position on the leader board and also the track map and I could tell from that you were having a ding d0ng battle.
Here's to future happy days in the SFS lounge ![]()

Welcome to the 12/2/12 Sucker Free Sunday thread.
SFS "Sucker Free Sunday" is an open invitation to all Gran Turismo 5 racers to come down to a track each week and have some fun, learn something new, and hopefully make some friends along the way. Every week, different car/track combos and regulations will be posted here on the OPC Forum, along with any other information you will need. The idea is not so much of a tournament or league (no leaderboards or prizes), but more of a track day to get to know fellow drivers from this forum.
This is an all day event, with the idea that you join in at whatever time of the day is most suitable for you. So if you know when you are likely to be on track please feel free to post in this thread and let others know. We are still running this event in private lobbies so you will need to be on the friends list of a regular user to join the races.
Below is all the information you need to take part in this Sunday's races:

Car Information:
- Cars: Volkswagen typ2(T1) SambaBus '62 (Camper Van).
- Tyres: Comfort Medium.
- Aids: All turned off apart from the driving line and ABS, which can be set to 1 (maximum).
Event Settings:
- Race Start Times: Throughout the day with no more than 15mins between races
- Track: Top Gear Test Track.
- Total Laps: 8 Laps (max).
- Pitstops: optional
- Game Mode: Normal Race.
- Start Type: Grid Start with false start penalty (keep your foot on the brake untill it says go).
- Grid Order: Reverse Grid Based on Previous Race Results.
- Boost: No.
- Penalty: Weak.
- PP limit: N/A
- Power limit:
- Weight limit: N/A
- Grip Reduction: Real.
- Mechanical Damage: Light.
Tuning:
- Fully tuned.
- All setup adjustments are allowed.
*READ ME* - Final Information You Need:
- Hosted by 'Pudds' this week. If he hasn't added you on PSN, please add him before Sunday. This is because he will be keeping the lounge open for everyone, even though he might not necessarily be around in person.
- The SFS lounge will be open just before 9am. After you finish a race, whatever time between the race finishing and the next race starting is yours to use in free run or talking. It is up to all of the competitors in the lobby to make sure the races start frequently.
- The lounge text chat will of course be in use. If you have a headset, the voice chat will be live as well. As is normal with the voice chat currently, it might take several minutes to fully kick in, so don't be alarmed if you can't hear anyone to start with.
- Anyone can start the races. The best thing to do, would be to talk to each other either by voice or text chat, so you know everyone is ready to start the next race. Agreeing a start time after each race should be the way to go
- Even though this is SFS, and just a get together, remember to follow the HDC/Honourable Drivers Code.
Finally, the most important thing... have fun out there!

Overall, yesterday was good fan. Didn't start so well. Kept getting taken out for first few races. Then when I finally got past the 1st corner, I either made a mistake myself, or kept getting silly time penalties. ![]()
OMG THE PENALTIES! ![]()
But once I had a small break, relaxed and started to just have fun. My times started coming down from !:31's to a 1:27.4. Would have stayed longer, but I was really hungry ![]()
Cyaz next time ![]()

Excellent combo Jutngo ![]()
A word of advice to the inexperienced attendees, which includes me, do your homework before entering the lounge. If, like me, you have shunned these mighty beasts in the past, then you're in for a bit of hard work... I only previously used the Pick-Ups to complete the events. So I had plenty of Pick-Ups in my garage but not many fully tuned. I reckon it would be best that you by all your tuning parts for your truck(s) before you enter the lobby, just to save to entering and leaving the lobby really. If you don't mind hopping in and out then that's ok, I guess. I just find it a pain with my rubbish internet connection ;D
I look forward to seeing you in there ![]()
