Seasonal Events.

As much as I enjoy the seasonal events we get, I do feel that they all cater to the drifters more than the circuit racing fans. It would be nice to see some events that involve tyre degradation and the preservation of tyres throughout a race.

(For example :-  Here is five laps of a track, you are allowed to use any tyres you like, but you only get one set and they will degrade).

Racing soft tyres would give good grip but one would run the risk of burning them up to quickly, were as racing hard would last longer but reduce your overall speed.

On all levels the degradation free tyre takes away an important, and necessary skill when circuit racing.

Allready had Tire wear seasonals, If you missed it thats your fault, not PD.

GT6 is what PD will care about not GT5, GT5 will get the bare minimum done for it now.

Been and gone as well..

Rally is just time trial after all.

Even worse rallys don't need custom cars they are done with Noraml cars buy Part time drivers now...

Moto cross circuit racing has not benn done in GT5 much yet.

Not really into rally, but I understand your point.

I wouldn't mind to see PD mix up the PP limits a bit more.

The same old same old PP limits tends to see you making the same car choice too often.

Not that it's forced upon you, but once you think you've got the best car for the job it's hard to look elsewhere.

Limits a bit higher or a bit lower, to vary the options, wouldn't hurt.

Re: Seasonal Events.

Loved the latest Time Trial that was on that Gravel road, leaderboard guys used the Honda Legend (or was it Element) and I used the good old Suzuki Alto Lapin Turbo (Note, Lapin means almost the same as Lappland which is part of the Finland)

They could give us some HP restrictions, but people would just undertone their cars to fit into requirements

which is kinda sad actually.

I do wonder where is the MR challenge, I will propably use the Hommell for that when the time comes.

Not sure how common this is but I never use the same car twice on seasonals, because my goal is to get some mileage into every single car possible before the next GT appears.

I've been trying a slightly different route, where I can I've tried to pick and use a car that I will then use for all the new batch of seasonals (both drift and TT). Sometimes this is just not possible due to manufacturer / year / PP limitations, but I try to use the car I have picked for at least what I can enter it for.

Drifting in a Samba Bus was fun :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Seasonal Events.

Haha, Samba bus really is a funny car to drive in GT5, for last drift event I used the Honda S600 and for the AWD drift I used the Academy Skyline I received earlier, just tweaked the powertrain at 10/90 to make it abit easier.

Re: Seasonal Events.

Before you spout  'if you missed it it's your fault'  at me you should be aware that I am a 200% 'er and have not missed more than two or three day in any given month since the game was published.

Besides, I think you missed my point here.

Re: Seasonal Events.

I think they incorporate your desire to manage tyre wear in the B-Spec seasonals don't they? I seem to recall taking a gamble or two on tyres at Le Mans - and winning :smileyhappy:

It's some task to keep everyone happy all the time eh!
