The races were easily won just by adding racing softs.

Not even necessary. I won the Golf event with a mark V and some sports softs + a weight reduction. That's cheaper than a set of racing softs, even racing hards. Although I did use racing softs for the Super GT event, but I was in the lead at the end of lap 6 in my Xanavi Nismo GTR. Hards would be fast enough. Don't even need to do upgrades for the i-Miev challenge, took the lead on lap 4 with stock tyres.

Oh, and D_Zhara, I bought the Volvo and i-Miev before the events, and won the Challenger somewhere :smileytongue:.

Re: Seasonal Events

I won the challenger too, but it was silver, i was disappointed, now i can get an orange one. One question, why on earth did you buy an I-Miev?

I was in the mood to try find the stupidest car in the dealership and buy it. Hence I came out with the i-Miev.

Re: Seasonal Events

Loving the JGTC event... my favourite 1 million credit event since the GTR race in SE1... JGTC's drive and handle so gooood. Definately one of my favourite all time Gran Turismo class of car. Even in GT5 my Castrol Tom Supra has been my go to car in races where the Minolta is overkill...

Could be a good event to compare my 3 Calsonic GTRs... :smileytongue:

Re: Seasonal Events

Today I noticed in the UCD an Audi R8 Race car for 1 million credits more than I had and was quite annoyed, that is until I noticed the new seasonal events.

So I jumped in my Nomad Lambo and destroyed the JGTC event. Normally I wouldn't play the overkill card but I didn't want that R8 to cycle through before I raised enough cash.

Next I gifted the Nomad to my other account for another easy 1.5 Million cr. and have finished off my RM collection. Bit annoying that I can only send 1 car back per day, as it stands I now have 20 cars to send back to myself.

I guess I needed some quick indulgence after a difficult FGT championship. I totally screwed up sazuka and only won the championship by waiting for my nearest rival at the last chicane and run him off the road making sure he couldn't get enough points to win.

Race 1 - No upgrade needed, just floor it all the way lol

Race 2 - air filter , manifold,  sports medium tyres

Race 3 - Sports Soft, Slightly better trans, intake, chip exhaust

Race 4 -   air filter , manifold,  sports medium tyres

Race 5 - Easy win in the Lambo Nomad with no upgrade

I wish they would release restricted races again like round 1, they were a much better challenge, but I guess all the kids complained that they couldnt overtake the field on the first corner so they changed it :smileysad:
