So far i been enjoying GT6 a lot.The events where fair. Then at National A Clubman Kart Cup 100 A brick hit me.The 1st event was fine a tad hard some resets only took 5 mins and its was done then the second event and boy oh my god i was shocked.
1st off how on anyway the AL karts are faster then you?
And the drifts jeez looks like i am driving a drift car.
I tried so many times i given up on it.
I was on the event for over 45mins.More then 50+Resets.
The closest on ranking was 5th.
Never even finished it.
I have never seen a hard event like this? :Argh: Any ideas?
Well what you need to do in the Kart Arena (race 2) is to change the Drivetrain to these settings:
Max Speed 100km/h (62mph)
First gear: 1.752
Final Geer 4.800
And then in Body:
5kg ballast weight at -30
This will do so your top speed is werry low at around 77km/h (48mph) but you will have a fast accelaration wich with a little skill will get you in front by the second corner of the first lap and then all you got to do is take the corners easy so you dont spin out and dont hit the walls. and on the streight keep an eye on the cart behind you and pull out so he cant overtake you.. that did it for me on the third try.. so try it out and see if you cant get it :)
Has anybody had any luck with the karting 100 yet, seen some tips on here that may help, but wanted to check before I attempt this again because I can see my PS controller going through my window, so stressful
I have found that reducing the Steering Sensitivity in the Driving Options to the minimum helps a lot.
I couldn’t find a way of beating race 2 of the Clubman Kart 100. So I finally came up with my own car settings and managed to finish in 1st place.
First, I went to Driving Options settings and set the Controller Steering Sensivity to -2.
After that, I went to Car Settings, then set my Transmission this way:
Max. Speed: 100 km/h (
I think it’s 62 mph)
1st gear: 1.630
Last gear: 4.800
Then, Body settings:
Ballast weight: 5 kg
Ballast position: -30 (I know I could’ve used +30 but I think this way is easier)
After a couple of retries, I finally got used to the new driving and easily got the first place within the first two turns. Then you just have to keep the lead and boom! Easy gold trophy. The key is to be agressive while turning, but I suggest breaking before and just letting the kart glide while turning. Accelerate when you finish turning.
As for races 1 and 3, I beat them easily with the kart’s custom settings.
Finally won race 3 of the Shifter Championship with top speed set low (93 I think) and 20kg of ballast all at the back of the car. Helped keep the thing stable as I kept losing control before.
Getting good acceleration out of the last tight turn and a tow down the straight was key, especially in laps 1-4 where it's easy to lose ground on the leaders. If you're in 6th or better by end of lap 4, you should be able to do it if you can keep it together.
i understand what you´r saying but i can only disagree
the karting events realy arent that much harder than the others in fact i feel that the karts back off on the first lap compared to the cars
and the drift, there is a briliant reason. gokarts do like that period! if you go drive a rental kart in real life it wont drift as much. but the real karts do. because you have got to remeber that it is not a car i belive that alle cars in the game have live axels. the karts dont they are solid which means one wheel needs to let go of the road and if you put to much power down combined with the fact that there is no weight over the front and the short gearing YOU WILL HAVE WHEELSPIN if.
now i drive gokart myself and can tell you that the way to go raound corners is a short bit turn in and slight oversteer corections all the way out that makes a gokart go round corners as a normal car would do it.
so yes it oversteers all over the place but in real life it does it even more.
Probably the hardest race on the game.
First sort the balance out by putting 5Kg of Ballast at the front -50. This will give the front end grip and allow you to ride the kerbs(don't accelerate on them). And get rid of the understeer on fast corner entry
Max Speed 124
3.056 (get though it quickly so you don't lose time on changes, only used at start)
1.410 (you need theres a bit longer so you don't lose traction on last corner)
0.850 (6th not used)
Final 4.620( don't ever change this as it changes the way the kart accelerates)
Get into the habit of briefly steering in the opposite direction before turning into a long corner to set up a bit of drift much easier when the weight distribution is 49:51 better to have a heavier more driveable kart than a rocket ship you can't! Sorry about the Tamla motown and q's just ask!
I made a video here if it helps
Try changing the gear ratio I did in the smaller kart, make it so you have better acceleration off the line.
1st one is easy. 2nd Clubman Kart Racing 100, try SPD 62, 1st gear 1.707 final gear 4.40, ballast 25 kg position -15. 3rd race try same speed, same 1st gear, final gear 4.30, ballast 15 kg at -15.
A GT6 event stupidly difficult to the point where the game (yes folks, it's a game, as much as some people like to pretend that it isn't) is no longer any fun whatsoever? Whod've thunk it! Like every other GT game, 6 has some things which are just stupidly hard. There's always someone that can do whatever it is, but that doesn't excuse it. See the GT5 b-spec Nascar race as a prime example.
Check the helpful posts above for ideas on how to beat each one.
GT6 is one the easiest GT game to pick and play. Nothing hard in here.
There's always one.
The problem is that it's not the kart which is difficult to drive, or which makes the races difficult, it's the very design of the game. GT6 has possibly the most transparently biased and fickle AI in any game ever. They will completely change their style depending on what you do, and they certainly aren't racing against each other, because they just travel in a train - did you ever notice that the time they complete certain mission races, for example, always decreases when you go faster - that's so that they can get in your way at specific, designated points. The kart races are no different. Even if you blast your way up to, say, 3rd in the first lap, you will absolutely not get past the driver in 1st place until the game decides to let you - which is usually on the final lap. This is especially evident if you hang behind in last place deliberately, they will all slow down for you and you can pretty much beat them all on the final lap. They have designed it to adapt to the player, and try to catch them out. But they've tried to be TOO clever, and all they've done is make a game with utterly terrible AI. Not to mention the fact that if they touch you, you spin out and lose control while they carry on their line as if nothing happened.
