But if the aim is to set a fast lap, surely that involves pushing the car a bit too hard sometimes? Even professional racing drivers do that!

I just don't have the time to keep making mistakes in order to get a good laptime on this track. Any other track and it wouldn't be a problem, it's just the Nurburgring is so damn long...Uh-huh.........yep.........ok- THATS THE CHALLENGE!

Its a challenge because it really is going to test your skills and patience. As you've found concerntrating for 7 whole minutes, getting every corner right so you don't go off.......its a real challenge! A real test! I can't make my point any clearer- THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE EASY!

Tip: Go at your own pace, even if its a silver time or whatever. Eventually you're just gonna click with the car and track and get faster without even knowing it.


EDIT: Someone on here has already had a go at this. Vuda with a 6'49.384. I guess thats a benchmark none of us will ever reach

actually i bet my life that snake could take 3 sec. of that but that's snake, the big boss! probably someone will reach the 6'**.**ish.. i guess..

I'm sure other people are in the same boat as me. You're going to need to put in at least 3 laps to get a decent time, more if you're god like at the game. At roughly 7 minutes each that's 21 minutes gone right there. I can concentrate for the entire Nurburgring easily, me and my mates ALWAYS race on it together, but we can only do it when we have no work to hand in which comes about very rarely EDIT: BTW, on Vuda's form it says he was running on N1 tyres. On mine i'm sure it says 'Racing Super Hard'

I wouldn't go that far. I think Snake could beat it, but Vuda is still the bee's knees officially. Not many have come close to his time on GTP, as you've seen......

I just had a look at me memory cards via my friends PS2 and found my S16 time. 6'57.107 ain't too bad . That would put me in 4th place in the "Dual Shock 2 Category" in the above link, and 9th overall. I wrote down all sectors and shizm, yet I've got the hankering to borrow said PS2 and have a big crack at it .
Oh and another thing. 3rd place DS2 guy is birt1. Can I only assume that it is the exact birt1 that was a member of these very forums no more then a year ago? I reckon so

Yeah Please TrueSkater! Im trying to get a quicker time than my current atm b4 i put up an image. BNut its really hard....I got a 7:08 but i know i go quicker then that.
