See this is the problem. Not saying anyone's ideas aren't valid, completely the opposite in fact. Anyone's ideas could be right, with this situation we're stuck in.
I know Sony are delaying this for a very good reason. They MUST know that GT5's fanbase is getting rather miffed. I mean, if they didn't know, what the hell is their PR team doing! But then saying that, why are they making decisions like delaying the game, after giving the Japan date, then not saying ANYTHING as too why. They don't need to give us loads of information, just something honest.
Just wish they wouldn't completely abandon their potential customers at times when they need some sort of information.

i agree. just tell us. but then i dont think sony or sony computer entertainment actually read or listen to any of their customers opinions. they were the biggest in the world and in most respects i suspect they still are but the ps3 has brought them into line with the rest of the market with its high price, subpar multiplatform releases and now delays on probably every major first party release. people dont call it the delaystation for nothing. they have this one chance to turn things around for the better. we are very bothered that its delayed, yes. but we would understand if we were told as to why its delayed. im extremely fed up, so much so i thought a petition is in order. but then if we were to go around all the usual sites, here, ign, euroflamer, gtp etc, i fear that all i will get is folks asking is to give pd patience. but then sony/pd wont respond or read it anyway.

This is the most important part for me. I'm not going to mind a delay if I know the reason for it . But the miscommunication and seemingly mixed message we are getting from PD/Sony are just not good enough. And if they can't say anything, keep it shut, don't say a thing or put any info out until you are ready to tell the whole truth.

It's easy for us to say "just tell us", but there is a lot of secrecy behind a big, important release. I was in a SONY style store today waiting for them to warm up a new 3D TV. (Unfortunately, I will have to go back tomorrow to see the demo because the prototype hardware needed an hour to get ready and the staff had to follow directions.) Anyway, talking with the sales clerk, he explained that they won't know a lot of 3D details either until just before release of the new hardware because of secrecy. 3D is a big, important development for SONY, too, and they are going to play their cards close to their chest. Apply the same principle to GT and we should be able to understand why they can't/won't say much. They may not be able to say anything because too much of "something" is still up in the air and saying anything would be inappropriate right now. Some of us are ready to rip SONY to shreds over the slightest misstep, too, so they hang back until it is time. We just don't know why we have to wait longer and, like it or not, we'll have to live with that fact until SONY is ready to talk.

Apart from sitting back and relaxing with GT PSP or GT5p I can only do that for so long. The lack of information is frustrating, but I sense the next "big" news to come from Sony about GT5 will be at the next big Event (which is I have no clue what so ever) judging by past performances. In the meantime little ***** bits and teasers will be released by Sony / polyphony while the GT fan / userbase gets more irate.
Imagine the uproar say at this years E3 if Sony and Polyphony state the release for GT5 will November 2010 for Japanese and March 2011 for USA and Europe....... There will be alot of people that will be really peeved off. about it. GT PSP can last so long as can GT5P.
Not to put a dampner on things here in anyway But I feel a release date now will be in the fall, to make the most of the xmas market. The GT franchise is a console shifter and I cans eee it being delayed till Fall time in preperation to the run up to christmas. Its Sony's decision and to be honest they do many things in strangeways...... if you dont beleive me go and look how many non European countries make up Sony's version of Europe!!!! In fact Im Surprised they dont have America in SCEE!!
