I was given this wheel and pedal set along with GT5 by my adoring wife -- she's lucky she's got me ;-)

The wheel itself  works fine but doesn't seem sensitive enough --- can this be adjusted ????

Also I cannot get the pedals to work at all --- Do they work ?? if they do how do I activate them ??

I can't stand trying to acelerate and brake using the buttons

Help would be appreciated and yes i did a search before I posted

Thanks all, with your combined posts we got our 2nd hand Ferarri GT Experience wheel working with GT5 - plug it all in then switch on the PS3, we found the steeringwheel was active and could go and setup the  controller settings as suggested here in this thread.

Before doing anything else depress both pedals and hold the Home button on the wheel (to activate combined pedals - brake and accelerate together) and also depress the D pad and the left and right levers together (to activate high sensitivity). The red light will flash slowely red and then green to show this has taken effect. (All this from the wheel manual which i found online http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00107.pdf thanks to Thrustmaster.

All fairly painless when you read the manuals :)

Happy racing :)

I have the thrustmaster ferrari gt experience wheel and it just works like a fine wheel.
Firstly after switching on your ps3 connect the accelerator and crake pedals to the wheels input at the rear side.
After that ensure that your wheel is on the PS3 mode, you can toggle between ps3 &pc by the red switch on the lrft side. Then connect the wheel to your ps3 and then play your game GT5.
If you want your wheel to be more sensitive or responsive them all you gotta do is press any button on the d pad and pressboothe the paddle gear shifters ie. L1 & R1 simultaneously and there you are if the red light starts blinking then your wheel is now super sensitive and you can also increase your wheels sensitivity by increasing the controller steering sensitivity option in GT5.

I had this wheel for the final day of GT Academy; it worked alright but was tricky to setup.  The instructions manual says to activate the pedals you need to map them to one of the existing buttons on the wheel.  There was a sequence to do this; it was something like pulling both gear flaps and jabbing the accel/brake then pressing the button either should emulate.

The above post is also worth checking out as the increased sensitivity made for a better drive if a little distracting with the pulsing led the whole time.

Mine broke so I am the happy recipient of a racing wheel expereince with the post-novelty cashback.

Bottom line; RTFM.

This is how you make it work:

plug in your steer and pedals

start up your game (GT5)

switch off controler and make shure thw steer is "controller #1"

your steer will work like the controller (x = gass  square = brake etc.)

to change this make L2 brake and R2 accelarate

L1 shift down and R1 shift up

the rest u can change to how u want it

NOTE if you play next time with controller you are playing NOT with X = gass square = brake etc.

also in car options make the steering sensitivity high for max precision

Have you contacted Thrustmaster about this problem? Thrustmaster wheels aren't as widely owned as some other brands, so they may be the best people with whom to start your inquiry.

Othetherwise, you didn't say anything about which model you have, whether it is old/new, whether it worked before but now stopped.
