Tips for next update

I've got some ideas for the next update. Don't know if they actually are possible to do but I hope so. If you agree with any of my ideas, please reply so we can get some attention from Polyphony.

1. A walk-in garage mode...kinda thingy. Where you have a garage and you can walk around in there like in the photo mode and take pictures of all your cars at the same time and stuff like that. (Most likely that it will involve premium cars only since it would be freakishly big otherwise.) And you can choose between different styles on your garage. (PD could be able to make some money on that by making new garages later on and selling them on PS Store.)

2. Upgrade some cars from Standard to Premium. (Veyron and Countach god damn it!)

3. More tracks! Please! I cannot put words on how much I would want Spa on GT5! And I know I'm not alone in that. I can't seem to figure out why it's not in there from the beginning. I also think more F1 tracks should be in the game. Like Yas Marina, Hockenheim, Silverstone and Sao Paulo to mention the ones I, personally, want the most.

4. Rethink the ban on trading cars worth more than 1 million. I'm totally in on the concept but I think a full-blown ban is a bit too much. 1/day is too much I think but what if you would be able to trade 1 expensive car / week? I think that could be a good compromise which encourages people to get cars by themselves while still being able to use the incredible social network of GT5 to get their hands on the machines they can't get their hands on.

Think about it. It could make the greatest racing game a little bit better, right?

And to all of you who actually read it all: Well done, thank you and give me some thoughts on it.

Re: Tips for next update

5. Make it possible to paint a car in more than one color. (Hood in green, body in blue and bumpers in that color that you get when you throw up on a friday night in a toilet that's got one of those little blocks that make the water go all 60's)

(Maybe this is already possible. If it is; will someone please tell me how to do so?)

Re: Tips for next update

1: I don't agree with that. That would take much time to make. Time they can use on other things.

2: They have already said that they will make more premium cars, and this will come as a DLC

3: I would love too have some more F1 tracks. But I doubt it will come. Most likely they paid a license fee too get to use those tracks they've got now.

4: I don't have an opinion of this, since I have never traded cars in this game. and most likely never will. This would solve itself if they set up the prices higher than they are now. I have about 270 cars, and it's a pain to go trough many races just to get 1 car.

Re: Tips for next update

In English: Point 4 in your list: There is a share option now for the cars, I don't see any problems with the ban/block of gifting cars with a price beyond 1 million Cr.

To use the share feature, open the garage and go to the car you wish to share with friends, simply activate the "Share with friends" in the menu of the car, and your friend(s) can then borrow it from your profile.

Re: Tips for next update

I know how to share cars. But borrowing is a long way from owning it. If I share a car I can't use it myself any more, right? Until I unshare it.

Also: Anyone else having the problem about being uncapable to send cars worth just under 1 million?

Re: Tips for next update

1: It's a racing game, not a walking game.. I don't agree with you.

2: I'd say. add more europeen cars, we dont need 30 civics premium or standard.. I don't care

3: I would personally love to see silverstone to the tracklist my self, or atleast polish up the tracks they already have in earlier versons of the game.. cant get enough tracks in this game..

4: no comment.. I'm not a trader so I don't care

What I would love for an update is the possible to make your choice to pick a car category in practice mode/ arcade mode and online.. so if I put up a race for superGT you cant join with your lm race car or the other way around.. or if I set up "normal cars" you cant join with a race car..

So if I want to play singel player with my DTM cars I can have AI play against me with DTM cars..

Re: Tips for next update

For min del så er det de små tingene som irriterer

Here is what i want for the next update :

1. Give me a garage button so i change cars in the tuning shop

2. When finishing a seasonal event race dont go out into the home screen....

3. Fix for online cars to be used by the original owner.

4. Make it possible to force people to use the same car as you have in the garage, not just from recomended

5. A warning that shows if the car i limited or has ballast

Re: Tips for next update

Yeah. After some concideration my point nr. 1 probably was a bit unnecessary. Still think it would be cool though since the game still is about the cars.
Anyway: Great! Now we got a discussion going on. Hopefully we can catch some attention.

HailtoMegatron: Nr.1, nr.2 and nr.3 - Absololutely gold! Thank you! Hadn't thought of it myself but that has actually really annoyed me alot.

And maniac81: Thanks for the info about the premium car deal. I didn't know they were already working on it. And I never thought of the probability with license fees on the tracks. That kinda sucks cuz I really love Spa. That's the greates track ever to me...

Re: Tips for next update

1. Good idea, but like someone already mentioned, it would indeed take a lot of time and resources.

2. Already answered above. And I second ErikAndre71 on this point, I too would like to see more European cars, both old and new. I miss Saab, Koenigsegg & Porsche (I know RUF is there, but its just not the same IMO).

3. Agreed. If possible, more tracks would be awesome, especially F1 tracks.

4. I don't trade a lot myself, but I agree there should be some way of enabling trade of cars 1 million+. Even just one per month would be good. Either that or just turn off the birthday present entirely to avoid people abusing it. I doubt I'd miss it.

I have to say I agree with all of the tips presented by HailtoMegatron above. Very valid points.

Now I'm new to this website, so please let me know if I just missed it, but I was kinda disappointed to find I couldn't view my cars at all in here. I would guess that wouldn't be too hard to set up either?

A thing that really surprised me with the game a while back was how you're not able to use the AI-drivers as co-drivers for the A-spec endurance races. From the moment I found out they were there, my first thought was "cool, I bet they'll be my co-drivers later in the game"...but, no.   :smileysad:

Last but not least, having completed 99% of the game, I have to say I think the credit prizes are set way too low. They were low, but acceptable, when they were upped for a while...now at the "regular level" they're just stupid low. How many races do I have to do to get to buy a 20 million credit car? The answer is 204 x 5 laps of Indy...thats 1020 laps...for one car!!! Thats insane! 1020 laps times 4 minutes is 4080 minutes, which is... 68 hours! Almost three days of grinding!

Back when the seasonal events races had prizes of hundreds of thousands of credits per race, it wasn't too bad. Atleast you knew that would give you a weekly boost. But seriously, I wont be doing 1020 laps for each of the 20 million credit cars. It just wont happen.

There. Those were my 2 cents. :smileyhappy:

Point 1.    Hi now i dnt play Gt5 but i got tdu2 and its a racing game where you can walk so if tdu2 can have it then i bet it will be possible for Gt5 too.
