Re: Tuning Marketplace!

Ray m8 I tried your Mini setup and it was a bit strange. If you put power at +33 and weight to +115% you are still a bit below 500 pp. I wonder if this setup is for different tyres?

as for driving it, it was fun but then I love Mini's, Second gear doesn't last long, lol. when I raced against other cars it seemed to hold it's position but then I got rammed twice and there was only four cars so I finished last.

If i knew how to adjust it I would like to see some stronger brakes, slightly more stable cornering and a longer 2nd gear but then what do I know.

Hey boost that Lotus looks interesting but what pp is it for? and you have the final ratio of 330kmh, you might as well put it in Japanese m8 cause I have no idea what that means, lol. Have you got the actual ratio figures?

Re: Tuning Marketplace!

think he set up the car to be first or second on the grid, lower PP higher starting place!! the weight is set that way to make the car a bit more solid, harder to be shunted by the rammers!!

Other Forums Tunes...

That's just plain silly though. Why pile on weight? Weight it the antithesis to racing....

I'd comment some more, but it makes my next point null and void....

I reckon we should be posting our OWN setups here, not the setups of other forums. If people wanna try setups from other forums, then I think they should have the decent courtesy to visit those forums and have a look for themselves. People put a lot of time and effort into their tunes (good or bad) and spend hours creating attractive-looking posts. To just pinch the basics of their tunes, post them here and never give the person who created the tune an opportunity for feedback is rather lame in my opinion. Credit where credit is due.

Cheers!

Re: Other Forums Tunes...

To be fair m8 Ray did give Wolf credit from the GTP forum. IMO if you post a tune on a public forum then that is fair game no? To give them a mention is just good manners. Even the ones they post in private you free to do whatever with it so long as you give them credit.

It would be great if we could start our own tunes here but then the people that do it takes a lot of time I would imagine and I wouldn't have a clue. I got loads of setups but most are for R3 tyres and so next to useless at the moment.

As far as the tune for the Mini goes he reckons the weight helps the car. When i tried it because it was only 483pp I took off the extra weight to make it 500pp so later I will try the way he did it to see if it handles better.

Can anyone help with the setup of an EVO IX for the London street circuit? I've tried different settings but' really struggle getting the car around tight turns. Just seems very oversteery under heavy braking.....

Any tips?

Thanks

Hi webrits

You probably can't use this, but I think it's just a matter of learning the car's behavior. Are You using a wheel or a six-axis?

The only thing I adjusted was weight, horsepower and the gearing. If You want we can meet and make a few laps together. I'll show You where  to bee on the track. If You are driving with the blue "drive along me" stripe, please do deatctivate it. It's only confusing You if You aren't exactly on it.

Re: Other Forums Tunes...

Yeah, I dunno Crowsy, he did give Wolf credit but we have a whole community here who then sits down to discuss the pros and cons of Wolf's setup and the poor old bugger won't even know what we've said. That's my only issue really and I'm not sure if just mentioning his name is enough because these guys desperately want feedback and they're checking their threads every day. We're robbing them of that feedback are we not?

Not really a biggie for me, yeah it is fair game I suppose.

Re: Other Forums Tunes...

i know what your saying m8. I was involved in a game mod some time ago and the programmers were very defensive but in that scenario I think they were justified.

When I take a tune I do try and post feedback in it's original thread but it would be great if we could have a tuning shop here, they got loads over at the GTP forums. For people like me who do not fully understand how to tune we 'aint got much choice, lol

Re: Other Forums Tunes...

Too right. The one thing that is seriously lacking from this site is TUNERS.

Doesn't anyone want to set up their own garage?
