Re: Two new things I'm trying...

Discovered the suggested gear indicator thing this morning much to my delight.

What I mean by the little bit of throttle is this:

Corner that requires heavy braking approaching...

Brake to about 3/4's or 4/5's usually for a road car on sports tyres, but at the same time keep the throttle on during the braking at about 1/6. It takes a bit of getting used to but can be really helpful when braking after a long straight such as for the first chicane on Monza, or the Indy road circuit.

If using a controller like myself, I suggest L2 and R2 for brake and throttle if you don't do that already.

There are a couple of things to consider when altering brake balance. One is simply that if playing online and you enter a room that has prohibited tuning, you have to have 5|5 so it may be worth it to keep practicing on that setting. Secondly, a setting like 4|1 will probably cause a lot of unwanted understeer on twisty circuits and so it is best to try and remaing as close to evenly balanced as possible. - All just my opinion of course :smileyhappy:

Hello there RykketyStykks, I've just double checked what you said above, about rooms with prohibited tuning. I went into my own lobby and set the regulations so the tuning was prohibited. I then made sure that my TZ2 had brake balance set to 4F/1R and then went to track. I'm glad to say that my car passed the regulations check.

Further more, once I was in my car and driving I could still alter my brake balance as I was going along, whereas aids like TCS, ASM and ABS were greyed out on the HUD menu.

I am still noting your comments regarding unwanted understeer and I'll be seeing how it goes.

Thanks again for your advice
