Re: What a waste of credits!

Camero ZR1 spent over 400k race modding it and tuning... Understeers more than a car specially designed to understeer.

Re: What a waste of credits!

Worst - too many to list probably the G36 (or 37 not sure it was matte black) GT40 is hopeless unless its a high speed ring cause its useless at lower speed cornering. Gallardo, that was a joke all that cash to buy and upgrade for 1 race (for me anyway I dont like it much to use often).

Best - Mine's BNR skyline won nearly every race with that, only let downs are the races with the higher speed AI cars, BNR top speed 193mph. Countach (SP?)  '74 won plenty with that too

Whats the best race car to buy?

Re: What a waste of credits!

BMW M3 Coupe, although i don't know whether it was me that was useless or the car itself, just could not keep that back end from flying out :smileyfrustrated:

So with the hundreds of cars on offer in Gran Turismo 5, have any of you managed to spend your hard earned credits on a car that you later regret?

I for one regret buying the Toyota Yaris, for the sole purpose of taking part in the Amateur Yaris challenge. Only to find that spending what cash I had left on upgrading it seemed to make little difference in the race as the other cars seemed to overtake.

What experiences of bad spending have you had?

All the American cars except from the Buick Special 63.

That are always slow, crap for braking and have the turning circle of Jupiter.

And wasting a ton of money on my Countach. It's a real piece of crap.

Re: What a waste of credits!

Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE Hemi Quad Cab '04

I got it to about 724 bhp and it topped out at 121 mph. It did it in GT4 and I should have remembered it. I sold it as the stage 1 2 3 engine mods are non removeable. I got my self one of those there Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03 that goes that extra little for less.  Its now an imperial red colour.  I have to agree the Yaris is pantie waste to be honest.

I laughed so hard when I read that :smileyvery-happy:
