I know the usual suspects will have it, im looking for those lurking in the shadows......yeah you over there, yeah you come on come out from behind the couch, thats it out you come.
Good now heres why im asking, there are two things running at the mo, aphexstwins Rally TT and my own Green Hell. All im asking for is 2 hours of your time to have a go, set a time!!
No biggy is it, thy it you might find you even like it, ask Crowsy!!!

thanks for the advertisement ray! my guess on my tt competition is that the rally events are pretty tricky and the pure speed shown by the two protagonists is a little intimidating. and we all know the scale of the problems concerning the ring!
but until you take part you dont know how you'll do.
my rally has a little over a week to run and then i'll be running a follow-up, again on gt4
i use gt4 a lot because its more of a game than prologue, tuning setups, the sheer scale of cars, the different types of events and surfaces, the circuits. and the handling from each cars, when using each car as it appears (if it comes with driving aids as standard, like mercs and bimmers, or race cars without) is still the best found on any console sim. thats the main reasons why i'm so hoping gt5 will be like 4, and not like gtpsp or prologue.

Amen to that!
I went out and bought GT5P again on Friday as I was in desperate need of a Gran Turismo fix and Gran Turismo PSP doesn't seem to satisfy me. I hope there aren't any of these lap time trial events in GT5, y'know, the events where you have to get around a course in under a certain amount of time. I hate them ![]()

I have! Went out and bought it again (sold it about 2 years ago, expecting you-know-what to drop sooner...) so might have a go of this to stop Ray from crying.
Running it on my 60gb PS3 and it doesn't run the smoothest to be honest. But I'll give it a go. Anyone else running it on a PS3? Cos using the sixaxis controller seems to be pretty crap to me, don't know if it's my imagination tho. Throttle on R2 doesn't have much control, and the left stick seems to be far too sensitive for steering. Its like on/off virtually. Any advice?

you are correct funky, the ds3 is more sensitive than the ds2, but its no real biggy, just takes some time to get used to. i use gt4 in my ps3 but its got a habit of scratching my disk, but only at work! i got it re-skimmed last monday, stuck it in the ps3 and it came out clean. take it to work and now its got lovely concentric circles on the read surface! im gunna re-skim it tomorrow, have one or two more laps of the rally and ring, see what the disk looks like. ive already spent £100 on a new drive for it, not going to do it again

I would get playing these TTs properly. I just don't have the time at the moment. I am moving out on Sunday, and will then have to wait for a little bit for things like the PS3, the wheel etc. Even then, I won't have the space to properly play racers with the wheel. I might then give the GT4 TTs ago with the pad.
Once I have found a job, I can then move out to a bigger place. It's amazing how much can happen once some money appears in the bank account!
I will be back GT-ing, eventually!
