I can' t access the "gt academy 2012" download even though I see it on playstation store.Can you give me a clue? Is it possible not being available in greece?

i just wondering how on earth on 1-1 event in gt academy 12 guys are faster?????is it that i use controller instead of driving wheel????i know im not top driver but its looks really like a kind of glitch in game.i know manual gear box is much better to do best times but there is not such an option.any tips,guys????steering whell really nessesery????

I'm not a top driver by any means either but I do use a wheel. It seems, if you are able to smoothly ride the curb all the way, you get some kind of boost coming off the turn into the straight so obviously a wheel gives you the extra control required in order to achieve this. Hopefully one of the top drivers will see your post and give a better appraisal

Faster than who, you?

Racing on-line opens a very big door and there is all kinds of talent that you will never meet otherwise.

Wheels are not necessary, in the beginning, but at some point, if you get to the next level, you will more than likely need to use one. On top of that, the players who put a lot of time into GT will more than likely already be used to using a wheel, but not all of them. At least one player from 2011 used a controller.

With respect to the OP question concerning event 1-1, I find a wheel is most beneficial. I just did 20 runs with a wheel followed by 20 runs with a controller. Best effort with the wheel placed me 2279th with a time of +0.053 off the leader whereas with the controller (with which I am generally faster) my best time was +0.151 which adds thousands to the placing. As far as the rest of the tests go I have to agree with everything else you said MastrGT, especially the part about opening a very big door!
