Do you have a lot of material installed on the PS3? Themes, background picture, many installed games, many stored photos, videos and music?

This could be the cause of this error. Try deleting or backing up some of this stuff and certainly if this is a RAM problem, more RAM will be free'd = Hopefully this error goes away.

playstation should think about memory and allow user to buy newer console which will allow everyone to upgrade. :)

This will solve memory issue. but the console psu / cooling needs to be improve, or else, this may not work smoothly...

Have you tried restarting the console? It could be a cache problem.

Hello

I also get the "Insufficient free space on Hard Disk Drive" error but with 0x0000000b [60] at the end.

It started about a week after patch 1.03. Deleting and reinstalling doesn't help, but on another account I made I can play so it looks to me like the save game is damaged.

When I install without an internet connection GT5 still sees my current car and my money but no cars under favorites in arcade and when I go to GT Mode I get a little clock that keeps running forever. After updating the same error comes up again.

A new patch was just installed( 1.05 I think) and still the same thing happens.

This happened to me, took an age getting to the menu after finishing a race, then when I quit and restarted, it complained about system file errors and did I want to delete.

If what you say about the saved game being damaged then I'm not a happy bunny -  I don't want to lose all my progress and cars!

I was hoping the 608Mb patch would sort it out but same error occurs :(

Anuborn.... Mate I am the same as you... The only difference is my error end in [137]

I have a open case in with Sony and im still waiting.

Has anyone got it working or are we all waiting for the next patch???

I have the slim 250G PS3 and GT5 Signature version....

I did try and import my psp cars.

Not sure what else we all have in common. The bit that makes me sad is how do we train up out B-Spec for the comp?

:Stupid:

I have the same problem but the end code is 0x00000015 [217]

I suspect that there is a major problem with the structure of the save files of GT5. Mine worked perfectly until it reached the size of >4165KB. I had only around 150 cars but hundrends of museum cards (over 400) that I suspect that raised the size of my save file. I was lucky and 3 days before that happens I had taken an back up of my save file in a memory stick (the signature one - handy I suppose).

So yesterday I did the new hardware firmware update, started playing with GT5 (savefile size was around 3900KB), got more-less 15 new museum cards, get to see them and then went out to XMB to sign in the PSN store. When I 've tried to play the GT5 again after my visit to PSN Store it gave me the 0x00000015 (217) error screen with the "not enough memory space, needs 32MB of HDD space" message. But it does not have to do with the HDD (have plenty of empty space) but with the save file itself.

I saw the contents of my save file on my computer and it has 2 files (GT5.0 + GT5.1) of 2048KB each. My previous one that still works has GT5.0 (2048) + GT5.1 (1670KB).  I suspect that the game after the GT5.1 maxs it size at 2048KB fails to write the new file data (aka GT5.2) and for that reason it gives us that error code and message. I tried to make my own GT5.2 file with no data in (0 size), the game accepted it as I suspected, didn't give me the same error and moved on but just before the start screen appears, has given me the "corrupted save file" message. Yeap, I was expecting that to be honest, but the truth is that I 've got the proofs I needed for my "not enought memory" problem.

Perhaps this problem occured with the latest game update and the unlock feature of our save files that came with that. So I am warning you >4100KB I think is the limit, take back ups of your save files before it's too late and STOP USING THE MUSEUM.

PLEASE POLYPHONY DIGITAL FIX THE PROBLEM, WITH OUR SAVE FILES!!!

Lot's of people are loosing their save files and 2 months of gaming with GT5.

I haven't read many pleas for help but, my memory topped 5888KB. I'll look on but I think PSN dropped the ball on this one. Well, at least they fixed the "BLACK SCREEN" issues right?

Has anyone tried the "Clear Cahce" option or are you guys having the problem unable to start up the game all together.

The longer loading times is caused by the online, my loading times seem to be totaly random though.

Also make sure your PS3 is in a decent enough environment as when the things like RAM and CPU heat up the cooling won't fully help, those things will actually under perform in order not to produce as much heat.

Other suggestions

Try playing without being signed in and then sign in when you're ingame.

Delete main data, not saved data for your progress, and maybe not do the full install right away

I honestly don't know, i'm just throwing ideas around lol

Hello guys.  A good soul from that thread pointed me here so I'm posting.

I got the error as well.

Code 00000015 [217]

Apparently someone in this thread is right about the 2048 kb file size.

Corruption at level 40 B-Spec and at level 32 (or33) A-Spec.

Thanks PD!

I wrote that error to GT planet....

And they ignore me......

*****ERS.....

I have the same error too.....

Many will have that error because now it starts to players get that saves so "high".....with lots of cars and lots Museum cards....

It's the Policy of the saves.....I THINK.......

Many players have the same error after save file reaches 4165.......

me too EXACTLY the same error....

When i go offline and buy a car after go out and play again the gamr it appears.....

Or if i go online it sends me some cards.......and it goes AGAIN......

36 a-spec 40 b-spec......

How can we say that to Polyphony or Kazunori......?

It's a HUGE bug.....

The reason people ignore you is because you are routinely abusive and rude to everyone. If you calm down, post in a legible manner, and refrain from insulting people simply because their opinion is DIFFERENT than yours, then maybe you would get more respect around here.
