All right, calm down.
There's no need for name calling.
I'm simply expressing my opinion.
You've misunderstood what I was saying.
The fact is, many people claim other games like forza are better than GT5 simply because there are more cars available to drive in cockpit mode.
200 or so premium cars in Gt vs 500 or something for forza.
And because they only drive in this one specific view, for them that makes one game better than the other.
Well as I said before, I find that a rather closed minded opinion.
And anyway, as I suggested, and to which you seem to agree, GT has far superior graphics to Shift.
So if GT has it's flaws, which it certainly does, it stands to reason you would agree that Shift has even more.
Not sure where your going with this graphics topic.

graphics dont make a game for me
i use standard cars on gt5 more then the premium ones just because i like alot of them so i will drive them.
As for shift its a competator sure..... but thats not saying much... to me shift 2 is unfinished... and i am sure there will be a shift 3 at the end of this year or at the end of next year. That will ad in more weather effects like RAIN. Shift 2s breakthrough was night time racing to me so i figure rain is next....
I have shift 2 on pc and i havnt really got into it yet, sure it has eye candy in damage, parts flying off, splattering on windows etc but the gameplay to me is meh and i havnt bothered playing it much since i installed it.
Also i see theres not really a big difference between cars in shifts handeling example is.
Theres not really any weight shift the car is like driving on a flat surface always _______ while gt5 forza etc seem to have weight balance and you can visually see the cars weight shifting up an down on each tyre.
Not to be fussy but i drove around the bathurst track in real life a few times on shift it seems soooo wide lol..
To me gt5 is unfinished aswell the wet weather could of been alot better (just look at f12010) damage better i mean it really doesnt look like it should be in the game at all its far from as realistic as it was hyped up to be Polyphony already said they wanted longer to develope it as they dont like giving out unfinished games.
So in all that they both have their problems, think of it as Shift wants their game to be the best of both consoles.... So they probably look at which cars both havnt got and give them a modle. Along with the standard cars you see in every racing game.... The cateram was a given iv seen that explained every where as a quick little race car.

Depends if you want a racing game or not, it makes me cry when you consider people have purchased a game like GT5 and spent a vast part of it where the computer actually races for you!!!!!!!!! lol
How rubbish is that!!!
Shift 2 is actual racing, a real breath of fresh air from a game like GT5 which is just brain numbingly staid and boring!
And can i mention again that 800 standard cars without interior views is shocking in the extreme, and if you drive from chase cam as default you have no right to claim you like simulater games...lol

800cars in bonnet cam is better then 200 cars that bounce around like a seasaw if you slightly hit the grass or rub against another car

FYI no car on gt5 has a bonnet cam. there are all roof cams which are crap to the extreme. too high up to enjoy racing, or to see the apex you miss as a result

I have to say, I'm a little confused.
To me it's like this .....
If I thought there was a better game, then whatever that game maybe, I suppose I would be posting all my thoughts and tips that I have learnt, on that particular forum.
I seriously can't think of a reason why I would even bother to post on another competitors forum.
So therefore, if all I had to say was negative opinions, all I had to say was constant comparisons while always suggesting that another game was superior, and at no time did I ever contribute any sort of significant, or even at least some type of relevent answer to another posters question, then I guess it would be a fair call to label me as nothing more than a forum troll.
I'm not sure if I can say it any clearer without getting into specifics and naming names, but there are certainly some on this forum who seem to post nothing other than their own personal biased opinions, while at the same time never actually contributing in any sort of positive way regarding other posters questions, and yet they feel that their posts are somehow worthy of full recognition, while at the same time time all they do is denegrate complete strangers with ridiculous comments.
I have certainly been guilty of feeding these trolls on the odd occasion, but from now on, my responses will be purely reserved for those that are asking serious, relevent questions, or posting serious opinions regarding GT5.
It is afterall the official SONY GT5 forum.
Hypocritical as it may seem after I have fallen into the trap myself from time to time, I will no longer feed the trolls on this froum.
