it would be nice see some those new D T M 2012 racing cars the new mercs ,audi,s , and the new b m w s, that have just started racing this year, and also how about the g t racing porsches for a change instead of the old R U F one,s time they were updated and as well the aston martin g t racers . i would also like to see on the seasonal events on line some rally races as all the races seem to be either g t or normal cars be nice for a change ,but they need re tweek those rally cars there all fine but there handling leaves a lot to be desired compared to other rally type games you get for the playstation as it,s a waste of time racing them againest the higher spec cars when your racing in seasonal events on line . i have try but end,s up a waste of time better sticking to the dealer ship cars or the used ones when your racing .though it is nice to see the ferrari,s for a change pity they only have 3 racing cars ,the 2 f 1 models and the 1960,s racer.saying that i upgrades a enzo the other day to race it in the class 650 pp class scary drive but went through the other racers like a rocket .wel one last thing the prize money in the A spec and B spec should be more takes to long to get a decent money in the bank i ended up racing on line in seasonal events made some real money to get more cars and upgrade them quicker. and if you want beat that B M W F 1 maclaren buy it ,put a turbo in it add racing soft tyres then derate the engine pp back down to 650 pp in engine limiter in garage before you race on line .so all we need to know when and if g t 6 will appear hopefully on the P S 3 before the P S 4 appears in the shops .

I agree with all your ideas there. Unfortunatly porsches can't be added because EA is hogging the copyright for them so no other racing games can have porsches.
I doubt we will be waiting as long for GT6 so i think its worth thinking about now. Yes it takes a long time to model a car, thats why maybe keeping the standard range for a game longer would be a good idea in my opinion.

Other games, such as FORZA, can have Porsches, if they are willing to pony up for them and get sub-licenced.
PD and SONY are not willing to go that far.

True, but thats a slippery slope. If business practice like that is validated by giving the likes of EA money for liscences then they could just buy another liscence and do the same thing. Then where will it end?
PD and Sony are very wise not to enter into such a deal.

I'm not sure what you mean.
EA's licence is exclusive, so PD can't get another one on their own.

Every standard car could be upgraded into premium state, people still believes that tracks, physics and everything else except cars are made in 1 month (for example) PD tries to replicate cars into the game, and premium ones are very well done to be honest, if PD would hire like 200 more persons to work with the upgrading, and each would focus on 1 single car, they could achieve insane amount of premium cars within a year. But unlike the FM series, PD actually tests most of the cars out by themselves, while the another company uses Data gathered by 3rd party members. Big difference.

PD does not test all cars. I am not aware of how many cars they ever tested themselves, but it is bound to be tiny, if any at all.
Data is brought into GT by inputting numbers based on a detailed engineer's questionaire of over 80 questions. It takes about a day for the designer / engineer to fill in all of that info.

Well not maybe all the cars, but seen working with alot of cars, like in Making Of Gran Turismo 4 videos, PD's crew driving many, many cars in real life. If that is not testing, then what is.

There is a difference between just driving them and getting the figures to input into GT.
It is a fallacy to believe that they drive a majority of cars in GT.
Of all of the car owners that I have dealt with (let's see, now, that's at least six), none of their cars were driven by the PD data crew. In fact, the day the TransCammer was done, it was raining and it was definitely not driven in the wet.

I guess the standard cars will be forever with future Gran Turismo games. As it's so time consuming to model the premium cars and all the time new cars are introduced & the statement that PD will focus on new cars, there just may not be the time to convert all the Standard cars to Premium.
Still it looks they may convert at least some of them, like they did with VW Beetle.
We got interior views for Standard cars, I wonder if they could do even some kind of basic interior for them in GT6? This thought came to my mind as a while ago drove some Standard cars in 2-player mode and during the play or replay mode there was one interior view which had "crude" top of the dash & parcel shelf visible in the Standard cars. This is not viewable in 1-player mode, don't know why it shows up in 2-player mode, at least before the latest update.
