thoughts on GT5 then?

So the game has finally been released, its had like 5 years of development and been "delayed" a few times. So what are peoples thought on it? Does it live up to the hype or could it have had a few more months "spit & polish" ?

Re: thoughts on GT5 then?

Enjoying it lots, good game.. going to last a long long time but..

a couple of little problems, my main one being the shadows, they are GHASTLY!!..

and make me cringe when I see them.

Standard cars are very 'standard' but I can live with that.

Re: thoughts on GT5 then?

It's awesome.

Some of the standard cars look naff, but it's still awesome.

They could've made all the Standard cars premium I s'pose but then it probably wouldn't be out for atleast another year.

Re: thoughts on GT5 then?

From what I have read the game in its own right is decent, however considering its taken five years and every man and their dog has been hyping this game up, is it really worth five years wait?

I mean 75% of the cars are these "standard" cars, which from what I understand are upscaled GT4 cars, which means no inside view (which I try and use in all driving games) its all good and well having over 1000 cars if nearly 800 of them look pretty bad and you dont like driving.

I think I'll probably get it but not straight away, maybe at Christmas.

Re: thoughts on GT5 then?

overall im enjoying the game, 6 years of game im not seeing and there are a few problems that will be fixed in the coming months, i dont get the great feeling that i did on forza but im sure it will come, also it seems that this game is a little biased towards wheel users specially on nascar where it is almost impossible to keep the car smooth in the corners it is constant up and down on the analogue trying to keep it from crashing into cars or the wall.

Not that anyone care but i would give this game at its current state a 7 and half out of 10.

Re: thoughts on GT5 then?

i am really enjoying it, good amount of data on the disc think it is about 45 - 48GB which is compressed at that, you can't get spot on grapghics for all cars or they would have had to release it on a 100GB disc which is not comercially available yet.
