Hi all,

Just playing the brilliant grand theft auto 3 on the iPhone and realised that Tony Cipriani looks very similar to the guy shown in the GTA5 trailer. Any thoughts?

I am not sure if he died but there's a chance GTA5 could be sent just before GTA3?

He was the main guy in GTA Liberty City Stories too. He's apparently still alive and is around 43 years old according to information on this page.

Aside from a couple of 'nod, nod, wink, wink' easter eggs for the fans, GTAIV and the GTAIII-series were set in different 'universes'... so there was no actual crossovers.... I don't expect GTAV to be any different... though it might link in to GTAIV..

I guess the fun of GTA is that actually it doesn't really matter if it all ties in... they could theoretically say its Cipriani's brother or something and still would be as good. I would like to see a secret Lance-child, almost certainly conceived during those 80's party years!

Kinda looks like Tommy Vercetti from Vice City to me... I was also gonna say Sonny Forelli, but he's dead; also Tommy's age puts him around 50+ years which matches him with the corresponding GTA V trailer.
