Yea thats what i did in all 3 of the PS2 GTA's. Got in a car, drove around, did some shooting and just learnt the map a little. It makes doing the missions easier in the long run if you know where the hell you're going lol. Might waste 2 hours doing that and then go on to the main game. Especially if the map is gonna be huge

I suppose thats not a bad thing really. I mean the San Andreas map was a little too large if you think about it. Took ages to get anywhere. I'll look forward to finding the tallest building again and jumping off it on a bike One more thing though. I've noticed there are NO cheats for any games on the ps3. Other than in game ones. Is this gonna be the case for GTA IV? Don't get me wrong, i don't use them for the main game because there are certain points, like in San Andreas with the guy you had to catch in the truck when he was drunk on the building, which apparently froze if you cheated so i've never risked it (since GTA III lol) But its always fun to get instant weapons when you do finish it or spawn a car/plane in the middle of nowhere.
