Thats a good point actually. It will be set in modern day. As long as it's set in America it will be great.

It has to be set in America otherwise it wouldn't feel like GTA. I reckon it should be set in 80's Chicago.

Setting it in London would suck. That's cool for Getaway but the American setting is integral to the feel of GTA I think. Riding a motorcycle through San Andreas while listening to Free Bird is GTA at its best. Driving a Vauxhall Nova through London in the ******* rain listening to Franz Ferdinand sounds rubbish.

so it would be good to have a change.

maybe they should set GTA IV in America as usual and, again, create a special edition London GTA like the PlayStation format GTA London:1969

it'll feel like GTA wherever u it is set, it doesn't have to be in a specific place coz as long as u can run around and do whatever u want this will be GTA so it doesn't really matter. but u made a good point about driving round london in a vauxhall while its pouring with rain, this is a great reason why it shudn't be london.

It's an interesting idea but with the presense of Getaway (and it's excellent representation of a living breathing London) and the fact that America is GTA's largest market and most Americans have probably never heard of London, it's unlikely Rockstar will ever do another GTA London.

yeah but does it really make a difference with the real weather? you can change things on a game. and just put decent cars on the game e.g. mini's, subaru's, evo's etc. oh, and who would forget the infamous black cabs.

i was thinking that new york wud be good but spider-man 2 and a few other games are set there so thats crossed off the list. its hard to think of a place thats different, vice city was a beach, clubbing sort of place and san andreas was more of a citylife, countryside sort of place, it shud be something different, but wot???
