How difficult is it to port game made with free psp sdk to Playstation suite?

Just received an invite to the public beta.  Want to know how difficult it is to port the following PSP homebrew games:

Since most PSP homebrew was made with the open source toolchain in C++ you're unlikely to be able to use any of the source code what-so-over in any porting effort. You'd effectively be starting from scratch but could use the basic algorithm structures as a guide when writing the C# code for PSS.

No!  Are you saying all programs on the PlayStation Suite MUST use C# programming language?  The SLOW Java substitute?  (They are both interpreted, C# and Java, so both are slow and memory hogs).

 

Please tell me there is a way to code in C or C++ to access low level API.

Yes, PS Suite is C# only. It's designed so you can compile a single executable which runs on Sony Tablets, SmartPhones and the PS Vita. It's not intended for developing high performance 3D games that really push what the Vita is capable of. For that there's an official PSP Dev Kit and you can become a licensed developer if you want to use C++.

C#/.NET/Mono are not interpreted, they use JIT or AOT. If you're having any sort of performance problems, you can create a topic on the specifics and work with the PSS team to resolve it.
