Loading an Image that was Exported using Export() ?

Is it possible to load images from the "Photo Album", i.e. images that have been saved via the Image.Export() method?

If so, what is the path name to be specified?

Hello,

Is there any plan to support this feature ?

In a more general purpose, is there any way to exchange data between two applications on the same device or between two devices (through an online database for example) ?

I was thinking about images as a "poor solution" to exchange levels created with a map editor but no photo album import prevents this way.

Thanks for your answers.

I most definitely think that data exchange between applications will not be supported. You wouldn't want someone else accessing the data from your application.

You can ofcourse use the internet and web services to exchange data however but it does require the user be connected to the internet to work so you can't always assume all players will be connected at all times.

I think the application must always check if imported data was not "corrupted" before it uses it : it must be done even with data gotten through a web service.

To go back to the main subject, it could be really nice to have an access to the user photo or music album. There could be a lot of different usages like playing user custom tracks as a background music or editing user pictures.

Of course, it would require some security to avoid that user data lost. A measure could be that export must be done with a new file.

Perhaps but that''s what I was saying. You can't just blindly allow apps to access stored photos and the like or malicious apps could potentially send them off to a server somewhere. If apps were allowed to access these files at all it would have to be done through a system API that only allowed the user to select files to be accessed but it sounds like too much hassle to me.

Many systems that have gone before have done just fine without this level of inter-game communication and there are very few cases where it's even useful.
