Noob needs help with spritesLists/tiles!

Alright...After getting over 20 sprites loaded and arranged on my program...I want to move on to using sprite sheets to load sprites but I have absolutely no clue as to how to even do or start this...I've looked through a couple of examples but can't find any that use it or a specific example that shows you how to start one.

I plan on using well over 200 sprites in the future maybe even more so I'm a bit worried that might slow down the game a lot. Though maybe I could load sprites on the fly and unload them when not in use as im making a card game...would that be a better solution? At a time, there are only about ~25 sprites on the field...sometimes a couple of them might even be invisible.

Anyone have any suggestions? :smileyvery-happy:
