Heavy Rain

Ok, so PSN is down for fat PS3 owners.  No problem cus Heavy Rain is a single player game, right?

Wrong.  Even when I unplug the network cable, create a new user with no PSN access, disable wifi, etc. I still get this:

Why can't I play this game offline?  wth?  This is as bad as Assassin's Creed II for the PC requiring constant internet connection to be able to play.

Thats fine for explaining why I can't connect to PSN.  But it doesn't address why I can't play this game offline.  Do people without any internet connection have this same problem?

I can't play A LOT of games offline i can't even play my ps1 games i got from psn,  I can play bioshock 2 alright but games like Resistance 2,  Heavy rain,  It won't let me play offline i can't even play  a whole bunch of my single players game offline its messed up

Yeah, it is messed up.  I was just playing Valkyria Chronicles with no internet and no problems.

Try disabling internet connection in the PS3's network menu, restarting the system then manually changing the systems date. No idea if it'll work mind.

ikn this is gonna real problem cus it dosen't say internet required on the box either they really need 2 fix this fast wat if ur internet gets cut unfortunately & u still want 2 play ur offline campaign mode games in whitch u wouldn't kno cus the packaging dosen't say anything about bordband required ..................dis was really bad idea 2 put da trophies info online cus my game reads cant retrieve trophies info

it's because of the bug in the ps3's system breaking the clock, so no first party games can be played... it sucks cause i was one trophy away from plat and i was at the level for the trophy
