Oh and i love these threads , it could be down to anything nothing to point it the game. Unless it was the first game played on that ps3 with nothing else done to it. Then you could point to the game ![]()

My game won't load any more, all i get is the close up shot/loading screen, and then just black, tried un-installing, with/without patch, don't want to go back and start a new game though, not without finishing out this one anyway, if i return the game and get a new copy, will it work? if anyone else has done this, please let me know.

im scared now to play this game. i have the fat ps3 and about a year ago i rented it from a movie rental store and went to play, started no problem but not long into it i was running the guy around exploring a bit outside) screen went black and a horrid consistant noise like a drill or sommat emmited from ps3. i had no choice but to switch it off from the back as power touch button didnt work.when i restarted ps3 everything was gone including main menus and it would not even recognise that a disk was in drive regardless of what disk i put in (another game, dvd, blue-ray disk) so anyways iv just got into secret menu and reset it to factory settings so now it working again. and iv sort of installed my games again, and begun to build back up game progreess. i really want to play heavy rain but am worried the same thing will happen.
was it a co-incidence or that game i dont know, now i have the game (got as a gift) im scared to risk it.
suggestions please...

Why have you brought up a 2 year old thread? And besides Heavy Rain has no problems with a fat PS3, mine is the 40GB and gladly played Heavy Rain for 7 hours straight. End.

Mine also crashed during the prologue when I first loaded the disc. I was able to move Ethan around, but none of the prompts were coming up.
I rebooted the system and the game has worked absolutely fine since ![]()
I doubt it's Heavy Rain's fault. All games suffer glitches from time to time, no point moaning about it.
