you can add me to this queue of angry customers. as if heavy rain itself wasn't already buggy enough, we now cannot even play our single player games offline. this is being reported on joystiq btw: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/28/psn-is-down-some-titles-experiencing-game-crashing-errors/

So lemme get this straight. We can't even play our games offline thanks to a poorly implemented, very obvious rip off of an established xbox360 feature on a poor mans version of xbox live. yes, it might cost €30 a year but it's worth every penny for a well maintained integral service that warns it's users well in advance of any downtime maintanance. don't wanna sound like a fanboy but seriously

Got the game on Thursday and played it offline until today ( didn't have the patch so it signed me out every time, which was no problem) played all evening and no problem at all....unless it's happened since I turned off the PS3 at 12:40.....

I think the issue is something to do with the trophies, as I can play older ps3 games that don't have trophies.

( just tried Virtua Tennis 3)

It's not as black and white as that I don't think.. I can play God of War Collection, and it has trophies...

All of my friends that have a PS3 are on PSN as I type this. Also, none of them have Heavy Rain, so draw your own conclusions.

I have the same issue, apparently there is no solution at the moment, we will have to wait until sony does something, also be awere of this, and if you have the same problem be sure to post it, the bug in heavy rain is affecting all the system, my clock is on december of 99, somthing like that and when i tried to play flower or any psone game a messaje appers and it sais that there is a problem with the copyright, so i cant play them either, this is just wrong

lol ... after reading some people haveing this same problem about a year ago ... and reading on everything here ....

in a fit of rage i removed everything ... restore ps3 system .... scorched earth  clause some may say ...

and i didnt have to do it ....  but i need to upgrade the hard drive on my os3 anyway ... (i have a 60Gb and lots of games from  PSN)

so maybe i should replace the hard drive first before playing any games again ... what do you peeps think? ... hmmm ... long day

and its the first chance i have had to play the ***** game too .... grr.

btw ... can you still get the stuff back  that you have downloaded from PSN if you either replace the HDD or format the exsisting disk?

Interesting... it's not just the Heavy Rain theme that is corrupting either.... A friend who plays MAG alot (and who does not own Heavy Rain) can't sign in, but his dynamic theme for MAG has corrupted... just like people have reported has happened with the dynamic Heavy Rain theme..

 Hey all., i've been playing Heavy Rain for 5 days with no problem. Last night the game froze, so i shut the system down. Now i cant play the game AT ALL !!!! t gives me the same error as posted by other ppl on here about the trophies. Im gonna give this problem a day or tw to get handled  by Sony. If they don't, im done with Sony, ill get a 360!!
