Re: Heavy Rain demo Impressions.

Loving the demo. It doesn't give too much away story wise, and it lets you get a good feel for the controls and the kind of situations the characters will get into.

I don't know why people go on about screen tearing and frame rates so much, it only affects you if want it to. I've managed to fall through floors on Killzone (online) and R&C yet I still enjoyed the game. Anyone remember how slow God of War got when there were too many enemies on screen? No, they just remember how good the game was.

Either way, glad I got my pre-order in ages ago and really looking forward to Heavy Rain dropping through my post box in a couple of weeks.

I've just played the demo now and all I can say Is awesome :smileyhappy: I'm gonna pre-ordered this game now after playing the demo. Should I order the special edition from hmv? Since I really like this game.

Re: Heavy Rain demo Impressions.

Played the demo 3 times now and will add my 2 cents.

The graphics in Heavy Rain are amazing truly they are, the screen tear and graphic pops are there but will only bother you if your looking to nit pick, the story from the demo seems good but I doubt if its a game that I will want to play 20 different times to see all supposedly 20 different endings

I am a little annoyed that the "you shape the story" didn't seem to be what I thought, for example on my first playthrough I searched the whole crime scene on my second playthrough I tried to leave the crime scene without searching but was met with the character refusing to get back into the car so I had to search thecrime scene to get back into my car, i'm still very undecided on wether or not to buy it or wait and get it on the cheap.

Re: Heavy Rain demo Impressions.

First scene: Excellent. Loved this part, fight scene was really cool :smileyhappy:

Second scene: This was kinda stupid. The evidence thing got annoying. The climbing up the hill..... you need like freakish hands to do that. I had to use my nose for one bit of that, and I'm not even joking  xD

I'm gonna buy it. Hopefully theres more like the first one than the second.

You know you only had to hold two of the buttons at a time, right?

Re: Heavy Rain demo Impressions.

The Heavy Rain demo exceeded my expectations in every way. I enjoyed Fahrenheit in 2005 and have been looking forward to a new interactive movie. Leave it to Quantic Dreams, the creators of Fahrenheit, to be the only team to be brave enough to do it. I believe when bravery is shown appropriately it should be rewarded and I feel Heavy Rain needs to be a success. So I am pleading to all true games players, who don't necessarily have to have a gun in their hands to have fun, the player who tried Flow or Topatoi, the player who bought Parappa the Rapper back in 1997, to make a stand and call originality to the forefront of what is almost becoming a virtual shooting range by buying Heavy Rain.

Re: Heavy Rain demo Impressions.

Hey everyone, sorry to bother

I finally got my code from the 4DC, and because I dont have a PS3 yet, I was planning on giving it to a friend of mine, but I cant tell her how to use it cause when I click on 'redeption instructions' it doesnt open anything. How and where do we activate the code? Thanks!
