I was wondering... Which version of PS3 have you got? Maybe that's the problem.

I've got the early "fat" one with full PS2 backward compatibility.

its not review code . its just a review disc . its not differnt . people will no doubt have the same problem with retail copies . claims have allways come up with review copies "separate online servers","no online play", "dlc wont work" . but none of them have ever been try

Review and Retail games are 100% the same. That's why I wrote that QD has to work on a patch ASAP, and since not everyone was complainging I started to wonder if maybe it's console dependent. Maybe it works OK on "slims", but doesn't work on "fats". Or maybe just on the first, fullu backward compatibile ones it has problems loading those saves.

Same problem, game is freezing every per hours, me and my other 13 PSN friends have got a same freezing problem , our games region code 2. please fix this problems be quik.  game have to many lag and bug before freezing. same times drop frame rate and freezing any chapters any time.

I have also experienced consant freezes with this game, and then it refused to load my savegame, my PS3 would just freeze. I restarted the game a couple of times, hoping it would solve the problem. Then on one start-up, the game went directly into the prologue without prompting, effectively overwriting my saved game. I now have to start from scratch. I'm not thrilled about this at all, since there's no guarantee that the game won't freeze up again and refuse to load my savegame.

Please fix this asap, I'm really enjoying the game, but these bugs are ruining my experience.

I have US version and at the very beginning in the house I had 3 episodes of vidio freezing with loss of audio...and that was in the first 15 minutes of play...this is the US version on a 120GB Slim...

i'm playing the american version.  after the patch i've had problems with the the animations lagging, the on screen text flashing on and off, and just now at the crime scene investigation portion jayden's body was disconnecting from his head after he got out of the car.  none of these problems were present in the demo. what gives?  this needs to be addressed immediately.

edit: for those of you who don't want to wait around.  go into your game data utility and delete the smaller of the two heavy rain files.  if you are like me it will be the top one.  then disable your internet connection in the settings.  so far as i can tell this has fixed most of the problems i've encountered.  no more animation stuttering, no more text flashing, no more fail.  at least until a proper fix is released.

I was about to respond to you, I just tried that with mine and it didn't fix ANY of the lagging animation/flickering text problems...I just deleted it all off and reinstalled, let's see if this does any better...I'm getting so sick of seeing the main menu.

Well, the text is still all flickery, but the frame rates better.  It's still a little jittery (especially some of the camera moves) but it's not as bad.  In any case tho this is definitely not the beautiful animation I loved in the demo

I did notice something tho,  without the patch, Ethan is floating on top of his bed in the wide shot right before you gain control, and with the patch he's not.  Maybe that's what it fixed lol.

edit: Oh wait no I just loaded it again, he's still floating, never mind.  The patch is apparently a placebo.
