Lord's Guide to Origami

[ Edited ]

Now that Heavy Rain is out, I think it's time we all do a bit of origami in honour of the game.  Just without the killing! :No-no:

The thing is, I'm rubbish at origami! I'm a bit heavy handed so any kind of arts and crafts I attempt to do tend to go a bit awry.  Regardless of this I aim to make myself a nice origami figure to sit by the telly to help inspire and motivate myself through the murder mystery of Heavy Rain.

I only had general lined A4 paper to around me when I fancied doing this, and well, it doesn't look particularly pretty.

This simply wont do! So I got myself some proper card and tried super hard, and this time it ended up like this:

Now that is better! Really rather proud of this one.  It is definitely mine by the way! I'm not gonna tell ya step by step of what to do (Heavy Rain will do that), instead I will simply show you the process of how I got my lovely looking figure (origami figure).

Well so far so good with the original foldings.  Now to fold again, and already you can see cracks in my art skills.

So as you can see, apart from a few misaligned foldings, it has gone much better then I anticipated.  Although my earlier attempt of the origami may not be quite as pretty, I do still like it.  They both my babies.

How did your origami figures go then? Did you even bother! I wouldn't mind trying out another origami figure that features in Heavy Rain, but no idea how to do them (this one came with instructions on the install screen as you all may already know).  You have any other tips or advice to make the origami that you want to share with us all?

If you made origami creatures, either bad or good.  Post your pictures and share with the community! Lets have a nice collection of Origami to brighten up the forum :smileyhappy:

Brilliant idea for a thread. Anyway, here's how mine turned out.

Although it was folded twice because the first time, the blood was on the head and tail.

But then i got it right, and, tadaa :smileyvery-happy::smileytongue:

Re: Lord's Guide to Origami

aww that is much better paper then mine!

Is that with special edition only?

It seems having a more specific place to put certain corners makes it much more tricky to get right.
