Once you've finished your playthrough then here's the place to discuss your thoughts on the game. Let us know what choices you mad , when you think you knew who the killer was, favorite character/chapter, what kind of ending you had etc...

OK I'll start.

Just finished my play through, played the game non stop because I couldnt put it down the story was just too good. Didnt know who the killer was untill the very end, and if someone says they figuered it out before the big reveal I'll call them a liar (not really, but i think its impossible to know the killer before the end) Favourite bits were the investigation and analysis bits with jayden, also my favourite character, also the only guy that died in my playthrough right at the very end, the last "boss fight" so to seak, i was genuinly shattered when that happened. the ending i got was ethan and madison got a loft / apartment together and all is good there, also weired thing i gota clip where the other detective (forgot the name, the aggro one) put on jaydens glasses and jayden appeared in the VR world and freaked the guy out. Love the game, love the trophies as well all hidden and its a surprise when you get one.

I just finished the game about an hour ago. Simply phenomenal.

To be honest, I suspected it was Shelby relatively early on. He was so uneasy at the typewriter store and at the cemetary that it just seemed like he had something to hide. Regardless, it was still a pretty heavy reveal once you find out it's him.

I had everyone survive up until right before the very end. Once Ethan saved Shaun from the water, Shelby confronted him and gave his motives. I then had the option to shoot Shelby or let him live. I let him live...only for Ethan to be shot to death by Drake and the police squad as soon as he left the warehouse. (I later replayed it and shot Shelby, but Ethan's fate is the same).

In the epilogue, Shaun visits Ethan's grave with his mother, while Madison watches them. Jayden turns in his gun, badge, and API and says that he wants to know what it's like to live in the real world. Meanwhile, Shelby is still walking the streets in the rain, where the game fades to black.

Well I just finished the game today, played it all the way through and loved it.  I think i had the best ending the game has to offer, I completed all the Origami tasks except for killing the dude.

My ending was as follows

The child (Shawn) was saved and Ethan Mars and Madison Paige become a couple, they buy an apt and move in together.  Shawn, Madison and Ethan.

Shelby was killed by the FBI agent (Norman Jayden) whom kicks his drug habit and becomes famous for his role in stopping the killer.  He also seems to have merged with the technology of his glasses as he takes them off in the end and is able to see computerized images which he can control without the equipment on, if you can't grasp the concept, just think The Matrix.

The prostitute spits on Shelby's grave for killing her son and questions his motive, it's obvious she is hurt because he was the killer and that he was the only person she trusted and not to mention she was falling in love him, which caused a stir of anger in her.   He also saved her life 2x's.

I did not know this dude was the killer, I was taken aback.

Ok, I am officially amazed. I'd heard reviewers talk about how they got completely different endings but I'm astounded the extent to which it happens.

For example one of you guys said you got to save shaun first then confronted shelby and was given the option to shoot him. For me when Ethan went to open the grate Shelby was just about to shoot him in the back when Jayden comes in and tackles him, the two of them then ran up to the roof while Madison came in to help Ethan.

To the guy who ended up getting an apartment with Madison, I'm guessing you chose to kiss her? I didn't because I hoped he would still get back with his wife, I was expecting to see her somewhere in the resolution and was a little disappointed, maybe somebody else here got her in their ending.

As far as bodycount, I finished with all four characters alive except for Shelby falling off even after I chose to save him (thought I might need him to clear Ethan's name). I shot the crazy religious guy early on by mistake and successfully completed all of Ethan's trials apart from shooting the drug dealer. I was stunned when Ethan wasn't killed by the "poison" since I really thought I'd condemned him there.

I'd be really interested to hear some more finishing stories to see just what I missed out on.

Edit: @ ZHU-SHISUBI, my ending was really similar to yours except I didn't kiss Madison. I got the same bit with Jayden which was kind of crazy. But I got something you maybe didn't get since Madison moved in with Ethan, she was signing books just after the talk show bit and some guy walks up to have his book signed and congratulates her but says she deserved a more difficult adversary "someone more VICIOUS" which immediately made me think sequel, can't wait!

Ethan shot himself because he failed to save Shaun, Jayden didn't have enough evidence to find Scott so he gave up and died later of Tripoctine overdose and madison took a leap of faith from the burning apartment; faith didn't pay off. Shelby gets away. The mystery remains unsolved.

Ha! did you get the perfect crime trophy for that? I was so tempted to make her jump from the apartment but I really didn't want any of my people to die.
