Yeah hearing what happened to other people there's definitely a few moments where I could easily have lost one of the characters.

The only time I reloaded in my playthrough was when Scott Shelby was drowning in the car with Lauren. It didn't make it clear that using the prompt I did would make him jump out of the car and leave her to drown and I got a bit ***** off about that because I was really just trying to save her.

I'm a little bit annoyed that the game didn't give me any reward for Ethan remaining faithful to his wife though. That's one aspect of the story where I think David Cage was a little immature since that romance with Madison came out of nowhere.

Lets see, here's how mine went down. I made sweet horizontal bumps with Madison, Jayden gave up searching for evidence when his eyes started bleeding and went to have a normal life, Saved shaun, Madison fell out of a window, Decided not to shoot scott (since he was my fav character till the murderer revalation) and then that ***** police officer shot Ethan as he left the building. Now Scott is roaming around, and the cheif and ***** cop are suspended. Oh and that prostitute lady drowned in the car.

Oh and even when jayden discovered that watch in the recording I still believed in was the ***** cop and not scott. Man that guy was an ass

en didn't have enough evidence to find Scott so he gave up and died later of Tripoctine overdose and madison took a leap of faith from the burning apartment; faith didn't pay off. Shelby gets away. The mystery remains unsolved.

This is nothing to LOL about.. My situation is serious bro; I let Madison/Ethan/Norman down. Currently on a second playthrough. Hopefully, I can fix things. SCOTT SHELBY, IT'S PAYBACK TIME M*********** !

i suppose if something like this happened in real life, it wouldn't be LOL-worthy.. but the fact the game can turn out that way for people made my LOL so funny heheh

Awesome game, loved it from start to finish. Going back for a 2nd trip into heavy rain as soon as I post this!

Well, I've had a much more improved second playthrough. Ethan saves Shaun, kills Scott but cops shoot him in the back. Madison escapes burning apartment using a method found in Indiana Jones KOTCS but her insomnia continues. Norman resigns from FBI but who cares, he's gonna find another job.

Indiana Jones reference... lol... we should compile a list, because aside from the whole Saw/Se7en 'I'm really a good guy with major daddy issues trying to make the world a better place' theme, Quantic seemed to borrow from Lethal Weapon 2 as well... All it needed was for Shelby to dislocate his shoulder

Not to rain on the parade of what is still a brilliant game (especially first time through when nothing is spoiled, and you are hanging on your seat).... does anyone else think there are some major plotholes in parts?... and they get worse depending on what options you took...

The story's not airtight but considering the number of different ways it can pan out it's pretty good. Most of the plotholes I've heard suggested so far have been explainable. The only one that seemed weird to me when I saw it was how Scott could have killed the typewriter repairman but then I remembered it cut away to Lauren and the music box. It also makes sense that he would call the cops since he's wanting to get her out of the store in a hurry before she could discover too much evidence.

The biggest annoyance is why Ethan's blackouts and the disappearance of his wife after the midpoint of the story are never explained. That whole thing seems like it was only included to throw you off the trail.

Well here is my finish - Ethan was arrested at the Motel. The hooker died in the drowning car that Shelby escapes from. Madison escapes the apartment fire and makes it in time to the Warehouse - along with Jayden. Madison dies in a battle with Shelby as Jayden saves the boy. Ethan is released with his b!tch ex-wife apologising to him at the prison. There was no reconciliation and the game ends with Shelby walking the streets, Jayden seeing things irl and Ethan at Madison's grave.

Huh I thought if Ethan was arrested at the motel it always ended up with him hanging himself in his cell.

Nope.. my second set of endings from chapter selecting where Shaun lived, Ethan was let out of jail and met his wife again.... Then because I failed to keep Madison alive in the final level he visited her gravesite.
