Re: So the PS3 problem sorted itself out, and still no sign of a Heavy Rain patch, great...

Before being aware of what was the specific reason behind this bug yesterday, just when i discovered that heavy rain didnt play.I though that if i deleted the game data it would make it to function properly...This didnt help of course, i turned off my ps3 and i found out what the problem was on internet...Today i turned on my ps3 and i tried to play Heavy rain.Of course the system has to re-install the game that i had deleted yesterday. But the instalation crashes...I deleted the every game or save data of Heavy Rain and still nothing...I tried with the 1.01 patch or without it but still the instalation crashes in the beggining...PLEASE HELP ME im desperate...How a game that hasnt any data on my ps3 crashes on me??

Precisely. Heavy Rain broke my PS3 (or my PS3 broke while I was playing Heavy Rain (coicidently it's crashed numerous times, corrupted game saves etc...)). I'm ringing Sony today to kindly ask them to do something about it.

More than likely it's messed up the HDD.

People have the right to complain - especially with the half-arsed customer service like Sony have.

Personally I think Sony should be offering compensation.

If you want to sit there while your consumer rights are torn up, then fair enough, but lay off those that want to stand up against these crooks.

The investigation of problems with Heavy Rain is continuing and as soon as a solution is completed it'll be released as quickly as possible. The major issue being faced is that nothing remotely similar to any of the reported issues turned up in the testing process, and even with the information we've received after the game launch replicating the reported issues has been very difficult indeed.

Based on research we've done already it does not appear that these problems are tied to particular PlayStation 3 hardware, but there is clearly something occurring with some players causing an issue.

None of which will come as consolation to those experiencing these problems, however we are continuing to work on a fix to these issues as quickly as possible.

Yawwwwwnnn once again people demanding Sony do something about this!! Or demanding compensation from Sony!! So said there looking into it!! What more do u want!! I'm sure they can't just click there fingers and solve it!! It takes time to look at the problems!!! U people are idiots,,, don't like the service then leave!!! You pay £400 a console and £40 a gale and I know that's alot of money for people but that doesn't give us the right to expect Sony people to work round the clock to ***** a *****ing game,,,, it's a GAME wait will ya it's not going anywhere, ur making out there not doing anything about it when I'm sure there picking the bones out of the game as it is! I for one finished the game and it was perfect so maybe it's only a few, making it difficult to create a patch as some heavy rains r working fine!!! Lay off thou yea, so u own a Sony product don't expect them tonkiss ur ass just cause u can't play a game and uve spend £40,,,,,, patience

Re: So the PS3 problem sorted itself out, and still no sign of a Heavy Rain patch, great...

For a game that's been out for a week and a day now in the US, and has been broken just as long for many players - yes, that's aggravating.  It's also frustrating to pay good money for a game that doesn't work.  So far, all I've been able to do with Heavy Rain is make a crappy $60 piece of origami.

If a game isn't ready for release... DONT RELEASE IT. Those people who haven't experienced the game freezes can come here and post about people having patience as much as they like, but ultimately, if Sony and QD had implemented the same kind of patience, and not released a broken game, we the consumers would have no reason to be complaining in the first place.

i think people do have the right to complain about this, its not right that a lot of people should pay a lot of money for this game and find out that they carnt actualy play it or when they do theres no point becuase of save courption.

some people might not be haveing problems but for the very large majority that are i think they should be able to complain and demand for some sort of action or answer towards it asap.

Re: So the PS3 problem sorted itself out, and still no sign of a Heavy Rain patch, great...

I played up to 'Sexy Girl' last night and then tried resuming my game about an hour ago. All I get is a stupid black screen, I've tried 'Continue' as normal, 'Load Game' & selecting it from the 'Chapters' but they all give me the frozen black screen and the game never loads!!!

I've just deleted 1.01 update and my game data in the hope that re-installing it and not updating may fix this.

If I lose my progress I will be so *****.
