I have seen several forum topics about people that are having freezing and other technical issues.  I am unfortunately one of those people.  Let's all post our problems here with our system specs and what point in the game our problems occurred so that the developers might be able to get a handle on this issue and resolve it.  I'll go first.

Old style fat PS3 with 40 GB Hard Drive

I did install the update when the game started.

I played for approximately 8 hours with sound skipping issues throughout however my game did not freeze until very late in the game.  (SPOILERS AHEAD)  My game froze right after I pulled Shaun out of the storm drain.  Now my save file appears to be corrupted and won't load.  I get the image of Shaun's face on the loading screen and then the screen just goes blank and nothing happens.

Did the install.

Screen flashing like it was trying to induce a seizure in me during the installation, stopped flashing during the QuanticDreams/HeavyRain bumper, continued when I got to the start screen.

Audio squwks during gameplay, and plummeting frame rate all throughout.

I have the launch 60GB version with an upgraded WD Scorpio Blue HDD. Hooked up via HDMI running at 1080p.

I have tried installing the game data before the patch and vice versa. I have tried running the game without the patch. I have even tried formatting my HDD and restoring system defaults.

I still get a blank screen after the Quantic logo and the system shuts itself down. Also, after I start the system back up, there is a corrupt file in the save data folder along with the saved options file.

Everything was working fine up until the chapter right after the first appearance of the private eye. The sound cut out completely and would not come back. I tried going to the options and changing the volume but that didn't help so I chose to go to the main menu. When I chose main menu, the game went black and froze. I have yet to play it again from fear of losing my saved data.

I have the fat ps3 40gb.

I experienced sound cutting out in the first crime scene where you meet Blake. 

Then alter the game crashed going to the lockers when I tried to look at my ticket while walking through what looked to be a metal detector.

I have 120GB Slim, bought it just 1.5 months ago.

Have no problems with other games yet.

I installed the 226 mb 1.01 patch. I cannot load my saved file, "Trapped" chapter. Screen turns into black. Also the game froze in the "Crime Scene" chapter.

PS3 Slim - I'm running the 1.01 update. It froze on me at: "The Nurse"

at the beginning of the game it said you have unlocked new bonus.
I finished the game. there are all bonus contents have been unlocked except art collection number 1 and 2!!!

it froze during the club scene. deleted the 4 gig install and the patch. reinstalled the game and the patch new, still froze. deleted the patch and started a chapter before and it worked (and I could finish the game).

old 40GB PS3 Ceramic White (japanese version)

also, I can't play The Taxidermist, because the patch is mandatory (and with it, it freezes).

PS: ah forgot to mention, I can't watch the trailer or the tech-demo either in the bonus features!

Worked fine from start   saved at  "Fish Tank" last night and went to bed.  Today when I try to load I get the face for a few seconds then a black screen and my ps3 locks up.  Tried the common fixes, nothing seems to work.     120 gig ps3 slim.  Very frustrated right now.
