heavy rain ...... help !

im on scene 13 with fbi agent norman jayden at his desk , when i get to open files and move the controller to open them he always clears them to one side . it might sound stupid but ive been trying fathom this out for the last few days ! can someone help me how to move the controller correctly to open the files pleaseeeeeeeee !
