Vedr: Home Character Creation: Your Feedback Needed

1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it? It's easy and accesible for just about anyone. 2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful? Yup - nice especially when you have multiple personalities :smileywink: 3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not? 'Yes, no problem there - but I was not that picky either 4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future? Not that much - It can be to expansive. I like customization. But more in the clothing dept. - not if I have a pimpel, and a moustache or heavy cheekbones. And too much of that, could mean, that people who only wants to do a bit of customizations, gets drowned in optins Thanks a lot for your feedback and we look forward to hearing your thoughts. You bet'cha

Re: Home Character Creation: Your Feedback Needed

1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it? Way better than previously, since there is no warnings or tips, you can make some stupid errors like trying out the Presets and delete your character. 2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful? Yes, it's useful, shame is that people might abuse it to keep on changing their avatars. It's a crazy transvestite party. 3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not? This one requires some investigation. The lack of clothes choice is understandable, the "not-enough-lack" isn't though, I like to walk around naked. Just kidding, on a more serious note: Lack of hair styles limit you a lot from creating, well, you. This applies to facial hair and hair colour as well. Body shape seems limited. We need some more facial features, like scars, wounds, tattoos/piercings. 4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future? Face construction aided by a camera. :smileyvery-happy: Step-by-step tutorials on how to make your avatar. More help and tips on what does what. Now this is something really cool... Personality. Your personality defines your avatar. Let me explain. On one side we have Phill. Phill is relaxed, laid back, chilled, likes to dance the funk, always in a good mood, has quite a good sense of humour. Phill's avatar is quite relaxed so his avatar would walk with his upper body laid back, has a smiley loop facial animation. His movements are chilled and friendly. On the other side we have Harrison. Harrison is angry, a lone wolf, likes to keep to himself, likes to shout too loud at football games. Harrison's avatar is quite moody so his avatar would walk with his face looking down, with a angry or sad loop facial animation. Get the point? That would bring some more in-depth character customization.

Re: Home Character Creation: Your Feedback Needed

1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it?

I think the wardrobe system and chip system is easy to use. There could be more directions as to which direction changes what aspect. At this moment its trial and error. Move the chip and see what happens.

2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful?

Yes, but you should be able to give your characters names.

3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not?

I think there should be more hairstyles.

I think you should be able to give yourself a more sportive body. Some people go to the gym or practice other sports and their body is more defined. It was hard for me to give my character a bigger, more muscled torso for example.

4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future?

Face construction aided by a camera.

I would also like to be able to have the character face the camera exactly. At this moment, is is slightly looking to the left or right, when creating your face, it would be helpful when the characters looks right into the camera. I would also like to have the ability to zoom-in and zoom-out on my character here.

Another thing I would like to see is more expression. The characters look a bit clinic right now. There should be more expression on the faces. It would be cool if you could set a certain amount of keywords like happy, angry, adventurous, naughty, flirty, dangerous etcetera and the combination of choices would give the character a more defined expression.

I agree that there should be more hair choices. What I would like to see is that there is a barber shop space where you go to change your hair. I think this option should be in the main character creation screen, and after you have created a character it should only be available in the barber shop space.

This is all I can think of at this moment.

Re: Home Character Creation: Your Feedback Needed

Lo all.. My tuppence worth: 1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it? Found this petty intuitive actually - far better than the last time 2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful? Hmmm......didnt really bother with this one pesonally. I'm not much of a lover of looking the same as '000's of other folks in game. Like being unique personally! 3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not? Pretty much - i didn't think the differences in the facial changes wee are stark as in earlier versions. Therefore i couldn't actually make the fella i wanted too. Saying that tho, I'm not displeased by my avatar - but would like the opportunity to tweak where i can 4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future? For me, the ability to make more detailed facial tweaks would be nice. Or hey - using Playstation Eye to take a snapshot of you face so you can "paste" it onto you Home avatar - now that would be killer! Of course, more clothes etc is always appreciated! ptm

Re: HOME Character Creation: Your Feedback Needed

Are our forums safe from deletion? Heh. 1) It's awkward having to traverse to the marketspace every time you're getting new clothes. Perhaps, being able to also buy/get them from the virtual PSP would be nice. What like internet shopping from your own home space rather than taking the walk, lol, love it!!!

1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it?

I like it and find very easy to use and understandable.

2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful?

Yes, I did. The save/load feature worked great for me

3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not?

Not exactly as I would've liked, but my residual digital image is close enough. The reason why I couldn't creat the character just as I wanted to be is due to the haircut options available at the moment. The hat/accessory selection is quite poor at the moment as well. Though I do understand is has been cut back for the sake of the trial.

4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future?
A wider selection of clothing/accesories. Maybe if you were to choose the style of clothing first and then choose a coulour to each item it would give the player the option to create something closer to their prefference.

The addition of Logo/Items to Clothing.

And the addition of a variety of choice with body jewellery.

1) How do you feel about the wardrobe and the new chip system? Is it easy to use and how understandable is it?

no problems, but like it was,buy the stuff directly from your house/virtual PSP should also be an option

2) Did you find the ability to save characters and load the preset ones useful?

can be usefull,will i use it no,since "i'm 1 person only :smileyhappy: "

3) Were you able to create the avatar you wanted to? if not, why not?

didn't bother with it.

4) What improvements to the character customisation would like to see in the future?

the option if a user registers his/her account on the PS (to automatic logon)
the user cannot change gender in "home"
Male = Male
Female = Female
also incorporation the EYEtoy 1 or 2 (like in Pro evolution) saves a lot of time
and more time to finetune

for the rest can't wait to see the whole world @ home
