Re: Re : Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

[ Edited ]

Got two time an error:

1) When i entered the 'home' door to the presentation room I got a white screen with an error code. I had to restart my ps3.

2) The second error I got talking with other persons. The screen splitted in two, and and error code. I had to restart ps3.

Further no bugs :smileyhappy: Ohyeah, a lot of people where walking with there feets into the ground (presentation room, the bridge). :smileyhappy:

No errors to speak of, but quite a bit if screen tearing in the new place.

Lots of people quite excited about it..but really it is just more of the same.. nothing new apart from some different textures at the end of the day :smileysad: shame...

Edit: In the podium place, lots of people were 'kneecapped' on the elevated walkway leading to a rather dubious view when standing next to someone...

Re: Re : Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

Many 'out of memory in Engine pool' errors when trying to enter the Presentation room plus the following error which immediately followed an Engine pool error when I pressed Skip:

Condition: pData

HUB_NEW failed for the Environments/Pr_Bar_2/Pr_Bar_2.probe, size 3369328

d:/Online/HubBranches/v080/Code/HubSystem/PS3/HubSystemPS3.cpp Line 320

Also experienced the cropping of legs on other avatars on the bridge/gantry in the Presentation room. There appeared to be different depths to which people sank into the floor dependant on where they stood.

Re: Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

Hi

Got the same error as everone else, when trying to enter the wooden door to the presentation area, had to reboot

Then got another error which i havent seen anyone else getting

Whilst in the top room, got a split screen, froze and the error message

Out of memory in Character Pool(fron d:/Online/Hub/Branches/v080/Code/Hub Engine/ControlRig.appline 139

d:/Online/Hub/Branches/v080/Code/HubSystem/common/Memeory/Hub Memeory/appline 337

But overall it looks great, the big screen gets a bit blocky and the seating area in the presentation area is way too dark

Re: Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

18:37 Got the same error as many others when walking from the Gallery to the Presentation Podium the first time. After the new area finished downloading, I got the "Condition False, out of memory in Engine pool" error and had to hard reset.

Walked around in the Presentation Podium and noticed bits of text chat from other people disappeared so fast I didn't have time to read it. Also the sound from the presentation video kept comming out of my speakers even though I walked to the other side of the room.

Getting tired of looking for an exit from the Gallery (it's not there, is it), I chose to relocate to the gaming area through the psp. Upon walking out of the gaming area to the Home Square, the game froze again with the same error as above.

19:17 Walking from the Gallery through the wooden doors to the Presentation Podium and got the third error (same as the other ones). Required another hard reset.

General observations:

It's still very hard to read peoples names. In fact I have to stop up right next to them to see if I know them. Must be quite disturbing for some of them :smileyvery-happy:

The new areas were pretty, but still without any decent content. They are quite large though, and I got lost a few times. I really think there should be some sort of on screen navigator pointing towards the different areas, making it easier for people to find their way around.

Re: Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

I had errors twice when trying to walk thru the wooden door to Media/Event Place.

Reboot of PS3 was the only solution.

Errors happend 7.30 and 7.52 CET

see pics

  • Also saw people walking in the floor, knee deep.
  • The Gallery and Media/Event spaces were unavailable in PSP Locations.
  • Sound was out of sync when turning or walking pass source. Stereo effect was inverted somewhat.
  • Movies showing was in low res, a lot of "squares".
  • when a lot of avatars standing and watching it gets a little crowded and screen is blocked. Would be nice to have a feature when viewing "First Person" people standing in front are invisible...

Re: Re : Thursday 22nd test night error reporting?

Same error as others upon completion of the download of the presentation podium but relocated fine the second time.  A few graphical issues within the new spaces.  Shadows go ary near the stairs at the entrance to the gallery and people quite often are seen melted into the floor on the upper levels of the presentation podium.

As an extreemly regular PS3 player (read every day) and also working in IT I had left the Buzz DNS settings as Primary with my normal DNS settings as secondary.  This unfortunately didn't work for Home and required me to change my settings to connect correctly to the service and recieve the updates.  All other games before this had been working fine.  Would it be possible, if future Beta's require the use of a Sony DNS servers that all the relevant servers are registered (or deregistered as is the case with Home) so that continuous setting and resetting isn't necessary?  Or even better is it possible for you to pass on the suggestion of multiple network configurations to the XMB team as we had on the PS2?
