Big thanks to killzone

With battlefield less than a week away and I'm sure it's going to awesome I'd like to thank guerilla games for a much maligned and underrated game which has given me since february nearly 350 hours of multiplayer goodness. I've met loads of new friends including the kzamers and had some epic matches because when war zone clicks I don't think there's anything as intense. anyway once again thanks to killzone and the killzone players

Totally agree with you, I'm getting BF3 this week, but when Killzone 3 works perfectly it's avery solid and intense multiplayer experience. I love it and will be keeping it.

Definitely will continue to play KZ3.

I honestly think it is one of the best shooters out there. BF3 will be good but i do see it as a completely different style of play so the KZ3 disc will never be far from my PS.

Re: Big thanks to killzone

Having clocked 500+ hours on Killzone 3 and having bolstered my PSN friends list with some nice folk as a result, I owe a lot to Killzone 3. For me it's still my favourite shooter & probably will remain so until Guerrilla's next, no matter how good BF3 & MW3 will be.

I just have an emotional connection to Killzone - I love the art direction, the maps, the gunplay, the sound (turbine concourse), the intensity of the combat - the latter of which is STILL unrivalled by anything else. Nothing eats an epic match of Warzone on Bilgarsk Boulevard or Frozen Dam for instance.

I also think Killzone 3 has been the most social shooter for a long time thanks to its 8 man squad system. Many a night me and all my mates have jumped on and kicked ass against some top top teams.

It's just a pity Guerrilla never quite nailed their matchmaking code (although I believe if everyone was pooled into matches worldwide rather than by your region only then you'd always have full matches).

Here's to Guerrilla's next project!

And here's to Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 - the two games that most of us inevitably will move onto predominantly in the coming weeks :smileyhappy:

Re: Big thanks to killzone

I could not agree with you more. A big shout out to Gorilla Games for making KillZone 3 an epic FPS. I think they really know how to put together the best team tactical game I have ever played. My clan will be migrating over to BF3 but we plan on coming back to KZ3 to do some tournament matches if its not a ghost town in the coming year. The reason KZ3 is underrated is because it takes skilled players who dedicate themselves to learning the game tactically and working as a team to win games. One man shows like COD run and gun players find KZ3 to complicated. And that's good because it keeps up a higher level of game play and the little kids and loosers out.

[ Edited ]

Played KZ2 much much more, but still a decent shooter, its a shame that I can't find many full games now. With BF3, Uncharted 3, MW3 and Assassins Creed coming up I will probably only play it in KZAM.
