This is an alternative sat morn gathering of forumers. it is not meant to steal thunder from any other weekly event. nor do i think it will, as it is aimed at a different target group. if anything, it will make the other events more enjoyable for the ppl who do like them. its just that sat morns are the only time of the week when my mates and i can (almost) always be online at the same time.
game name: Full Throttle
when: saturdays 1100amGMT
password: will be in my psn comment line
number of ppl: 16
missions: all (default settings for times and such)
classes: all (yup, even the assault. but read on, itll make sense)
weapons: all (read on)
radar: on when firing
FF: on (read on)
my rank only: NO (read on)
maps: this week - tharsis, gratch, hammer
ranked match: (READ HERE!) NO!
my intent is to have this be a friendly game, that allows for all aspects of the game to be explored and enjoyed. there are no rules, except of course, no glitching. for the uninitiated, this means no leaving the map. trouble makers who are not discouraged by it being UN-ranked, will be dealt with via password.
i encourage players of any rank or experience level to join. it will not help you rank up with points, but you will rank up in skill. the "core group" of experienced players who will play, are willing and eager to help with constructive feedback.
kz needs cool players. yelling non-constructive abuse at noobs is not the way to do this.
friend me, keep_clear, if interested ![]()
ps - thank you to thenarrator and all of the participants of kzam, for the patients and tollerance they have shown re: theyre game.

Sounds fun to me Clear! While I'm not a assault/rocket user in general, i think it'd be cool to have some games where it's on and we can get the 'full effect' of the warzone. Keep_ing it unranked is a great idea to keep the competition friendly and about 'the game' not the end result. Count me in... if I can wake up. ; )

As much as I'm for new Killzone events on the forum to encourage players to get involved in the community, I can't help but agree with ytevo ~
First of all, creating an event that clashes directly with an existing one will split the attendance of both events - people can't attend both simultaneously so it's not good for numbers. Whilst variety is good, there are enough times and days during the week that the event could be held on to avoid clashes.
Apart from that, I suppose more than anything it just looks a little rude to hold a game in the same community at exactly the same time - I doubt you're actively trying to divert players from KZ AM but even so it's not really fair on whoever runs an event at that time.
Anyway just thought I'd pump my 30cm3 of oxygen into this bouncy castle topic ![]()

This event isn't new.
It has run previously at exactly the same time.
Like the original post says it's the only time most of his friends are online at the same time so why should it be held at a different time?

Maybe so but bringing it here knowing about our long running event is pure spite! Why advertise an event for your friends on here and not Killzone.com where they lurk and will see it because that's all you will get to it. You cannot steal TheNarrators show mark my words on that.
But I'll watch this thread sink to the bottom like all the other trash that washes up on these shores..

sadly, ytevo, there is only one saturday morning per week. for some of us, it is the only time of the week that we can commit to playing regularly. truth.
"your" events? first of all, they are "community" events. which, like it or not, i am a part of. i admit that i have diff ideas aboot fairplay than do some, but it has nothing to do with 'ruining' kzam. in fact, the opposite is true. everything i have said or done with regaurds to kzam has been an attempt to make it better. but, the vocal minority spoke up, and i respectfully ceded to thier demands.
now, it seems that i cannot do right by you. if i play, i ruin the game. if i dont play, im asking for trouble? w/e that means o.O
i posted aboot Full Throttle on this forum because it is a community forum. a community that is bigger than just one game, and i hope (as i believe) that you do not echo the sentiments of everyone on this forum.

Well it's a game for everyone. Maybe there are people here who don't play Killzone AM but would play an event like this.
There is no need for all this hostility. No one on Killzone.com would care if anyone came on and advertised a match for Wednesday or if you posted about your event on a Thursday.
