I played KZ2 loads and never got bored of it.  I've never got bored of KZ3 but there's only ever more distractions, never less.  Sigh.

I intend to get a lot more play out of it yet before KZ4.  I wish they'd include all the maps from KZ2 though.

There was somethink on the web where the director said that they already had ideas for kz4 but he didnt say if there would def be one.

So is Killzone 3's multiplayer better/more popular than Killzone 2? I haven't tried the multiplayer on 2 yet, been busy with the campaign

They feel very different to play as they kept undating it on kz2 to try and get it right . Kz3 feels better but personaly i prefer kz2s levels .However one big problem they cured with kz3 is that 2 had a serious spawn camping issue that ruined the game at times. So all I'm all I would say 3 is better just but they ate so different its hard to judge.
