I never use game mode....and I have no lag.  Game mode detracts from the picture I think.

My apologies... game mode ONLY helps LCD HDTVs. If you have a plasma, game mode doesn't affect performance or response time... it will only affect the picture.

Again... if you have an LCD or LED HDTV, game mode is essential to play with the least amount of controller lag possible.

If you're using an LCD computer monitor however, you should have little to no lag at all (which is even less than game mode on an HDTV).

On my Samsung LCD HDTV, I get about 40ms of lag with game mode on.

On my Samsung LED computer monitor, I get virtually no lag... super responsive controls. Feels very nice.

Don't confuse this with online lag though... I'm just talking about the time it takes the TV itself to display what you pressed on the controller.

@ panda, how do you all of that? I use A led lg monitor so guess no lag for me, I wouldn't notice any even if there was some lag

Those images would look better in regards to Aliasing as they've been scaled right down to a small size and when viewed on a monitor the higher pixel density wil also make them look softer yet cleaner.

Killzone 3 does look vastly superior in many ways. I'm not debating whether it's a good looking game or not. I just feel that a few elements such as the AA system which has been employed are not suited to Killzone's graphical style, KZ looked filmy, soft but clean with a fine grain, it appeared very natural, now it all looks very harsh.

And xontor isn't me.

from what i have played kz2 looks lame compared to kz3.after all we have only played a demo and a beta? wait for the full game to compare new to old. ths thread is pointless unless you compare kz3 demo to kz2 demo.? on my tv is looks real! the snow looks so cold i feel the pain for sev and rico.............

I've been playing the KZ3 demo and after a lot of adjustments I thought it looked decent, then i played KZ2 with the same settings and omg, I don't know if it's my monitor or what but KZ2 looks 10 times better atleast compared to the demo, Rico looks ridiculous on the KZ3 demo, his face colour looks like paint or something and all his textures are completely flat. Seriously the character models looks much better in KZ2, i hope the final product looks better than the demo.
