Wait I think I'm getting confused - is the StA-14 the 8 round 100% accurate rifle? If so then that's the gun that is awesome
The StA-18 is the pistol, the 14 is teh smexy rifle that can hit a pin-head from 4 miles away
It's the gun I always use, so I would sooner insult myself than that glorious piece of win
Ahh, then you have reason - the HG pistol sucks, it's truly awful, but the rifle is awesome

If it hits soft matter it instantly explodes killing the person. If it misses, it bounces and hopefully kills someone
On large maps it is useless unless there is a crowd 
but on maps like Radec and Blood it is effective at wipping out large numbers
