Welcome back! It's time to reveal the five finalists in Contraption Challenge 16.

Your challenge for CC16 was a tough one: Create a machine capable of tidying-away a messy pile of blocks into a neat stack. Over 180 of you took part, producing all manner of ingenious machines from swirling tornadoes to giant spiders. We had a tough job narrowing your amazing entries down but eventually we were able to settle of just five finalists. Now it's over to you to pick your favourite and decide who will earn the coveted Contraption Challenge pin and a shiny prize crown courtesy of Media Molecule. So here they are...

The Finalists

How To Vote

Here's what you have to do to vote for your favourite entry:

1. Head over to LBPContraptions on LBP.me, sign-in with your PSN ID and queue up the CC16 Block Stacker - Vote Here level.
2. Start up LBP2 and play the level from your queue. In there you'll find level links to all of the finalists. Play them all and choose your favourite.
3. Post a review on the showcase level (NOT on the competition entry itself) stating the creator or name of the contraption you think should win.

That's about it... Oh, just a few important notes:

• Don't leave any other comments in your review.
• If you have any questions please post them in this thread and not in the level review.
• Only vote for one entry or none of your votes will be counted.
• Only vote in the Reviews section of the CC16 Block Stacker - Vote Here level or your vote won't be counted.
• Cast your vote by 21:00 BST on Friday 1st June or (you guessed it) your vote won't be counted.

Good luck to all the finalists, and well done to everybody else who took part! After voting closes we'll count up the votes and announce them as usual in a spectacular showcase video, along with some of our other favourite entries so keep an eye out for yours!

How to Take Part in the Next Challenge

After the winner is announced there'll be a short wait and then we'll be right back here with the details for Contraption Challenge 17! If you'd like to take part there are a few ways you can keep track of what's going-on:

• Follow @LBPContraptions on Twitter and subscribe to LBPContraptions on YouTube. We'll post updates there whenever there's something new.
• The magical, little web address, tinyurl.com/LBP2Contraptions is your shortcut to very latest information. It will always redirect you to the latest Contraption Challenge-related post on the Official PlayStation Community. Might be one for your bookmarks?
• Subscribe to the Contraption Challenge mailing list (that's right, it's 2012 and we have a mailing list, what of it?) to be alerted whenever voting or a new challenge starts.

 I guess not everyone appreciates physics.

Had high hopes for making the finals, but I can respect that there was some strong competition out there and the decision was probably not an easy one to make. Congrats to the finalist which were all well deserved.

Wow! I'm a finalist? I'm truly honoured to have even been considered. The competition was pretty steep in this challenge, and I congratulate all of my fellow finalists for making it this far, and for having such awesome contraptions. Good luck to everyone who remains, can't wait to see who wins!

Thank you LBPContraptions for picking my teams entry as a finalist, we feel very honored to be in a final of such a highly regarded competition series.

We wish the best of luck to all the other awesome finalist's, but i think we shouldn't forget the other entries that must of so nearly made it (i wish it was maybe a final 10, instead of 5), especially lifes_lil_devils Space Miner, D-E-S_87's Physics Crane and SURESHOT918's B.M.V.

Also if you guys need some admin help for any future comps, i'd be glad to offer my help. I have lots of free time, i played all the entries for cc16, sometimes leaving helpfull advice in the reviews 8)
