Well, i can report some success with this issue. I deleted all LBP data from my console. reinstalled and loaded my back up profile. My last profile back up wasn't recognised so i have lost a couple of months worth of story completion % but its better than nothing. 

I was beginning to miss the crazy shark attacks.

Gobbob341 was completely right! thanks. i only got this problem today and if anyone has this problem DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING! just hold the ps button and disconnect then reconnect the controller like Gobbob341 said.

if gobbob34's advice doesn't work try to turn of controller and wait till its says " Press PS Button To play" then turn it back on and it should work, thats what i did.
