When I load the game I get two sackboys popping out of the ring one after another. I have got only one controller. I want to play as a single player. I get rid of one of the sackboy by turning of the controller but the other sackboy still remains there out of my control (because the controller is off). But when I trun on the controller the previous one pops in again and become active. I have no other accessory connected to my PS3. plz help

Have you got a neighbour with a PS3? Your PS3 may be picking up the signal from their controller.
I have a PS3 Blu-Ray remote and have never had the problems you mention.
Have you tried pressing the Start button and checking the friends option? I think it will say the name of the user and give you the option to kick them out of the game.

Thanx for your reply.
I had two user profiles for my ps3. LBP in the start up asked me if i wanted to select the other user in my user profile or get in as a guest. But I had to reassign a different controller number to respond to that screen. Once I selected that user It gave me two sackboys.
I deleted one of the user profile and loaded the game. Since then it is not asking me anything. It simply pushes two sackboys through that ring. one under my control directly and the other one comes under my control if I reassign a different controller number (usually 7). I couldn't get rid of one of them whatever I did. Frustrating thing. plz help I got only one controller and I want to play alone.
I have no ps3 remote or any other accessory. plz help

I'm not sure how you will be able to solve the problem. If you hadn't deleted the other user from your system you might have been able to go to the "Game Save Data" menu on the XMB (for the other user) and delete the LBP data.
It sounds like the PS3 is picking up a signal from somewhere and automatically adding an extra sackboy for what it thinks is another player. The fact that you have to re-assign the controller to No. 7 implies that it is a Blu-Ray remote. Maybe you could try going to the "Accessory Settings" option on your "Settings" menu and check if there are any other devices connected to your PS3?
Sorry I can be of much help here, I can appreciate how frustrating it must be.

Thanx Buddies
Anyway the problem got solved when I did this:
Ejected the LBP disk Deleted all game data and where ever it showed as LBP (except Tropies, which I couldn't)
Trurned off PS3
Connected to the internet
Turned on PS3
Loaded LBP disk
Straight away it started downloading about 400MB stuff and installed it.
Then it installed the game and started it
Magic! Only one Sackboy poped out of the ring
Played happily ever after...
